I would have thought that since they love to make fun of people that they were beyond melting down and that they would stay away and hide.

What I want to know is how is it that a prison guard is against snitching. Wouldn't it make sense to cultivate informants and not bad mouth the practice?

When you examine it for tenants of scientific method it fails despite being dressed up in cosmology and various physical laws. I have outlined specific examples of you doing just that.
