Hopefully he's saving it for the weekend trip to Austin.
Meet new LBs coach, Brian Jean-Mary:

Hopefully he's saving it for the weekend trip to Austin.
WR Bryant Jackson has medically retired from football and LB Aaron Benson is on track to graduate in May and has given up on football, per 24/7.
I worry he'll never play because of grades, bad at ude or a combination of both.
Another 2016 name has surfaced. 24/7 says that "stud LB" Jamarian Caston from California will visit very soon. This is all I could find on him.

Apparently he already deadlifts 515lbs as a sop re.
I wonder when the time comes when a superstar player sleeps in class or breaks some other rule if Strong will stay consistent.
24/7 reporting the UT staff has asked CB PJ Mbanasor of Pflugerville Hendrickson to attend spring practice this weekend and he plans on doing so.
He recently de-committed from TCU.

Strong told the media that there will be no practice tomorrow.
Next practice will be Thursday.
Deshon Elliott has committed to Texas.
Very nice. Needed that one.
Per 24/7, OL Matthew Burrell of Woodbridge, VA has been offered.
Matthew Burr€ll Jr! @__Triumphant
got off the phone with coach Rumph and im proud to say that I have officially been offered by the university of Texas #HookEm #Longhorns
Man its nice to see UT go after top prospects around the nation..Hopefully all there hard work will pay off with a couple.

Big news from Inside Texas.
Both RB Chris Warren III and LB Malik Jefferson will be in Austin this weekend.
Slowly but surly Coach Strong is turning the recruiting war around.
Pics of the first spring practice.
Look what they have J. Gray doing in pic #13:

Another '16 name to keep in mind moving forward is DT Darius Anderson of Hightower HS. He will most likely end up being a top 20 player in-state for the '16 class.
Here is a few quotes from A&M's 24/7 site.
“I’m going up to Texas next weekend – next Saturday,” Anderson said on Tuesday evening. “They have a junior day or something and they invited me to it so I’m going there."
“I’m going to the Texas and the Texas A&M ones (camps) for sure,” he said. “I’m probably going to Baylor too and I want to go to LSU."
“Ever since I was little, I’ve been a big Texas Longhorns fan,” he said. “I loved them because (former Texas running back) Fozzy Whittaker is my god brother. He went there and we've always been close. I watched them every weekend."
“Texas A&M, they’re actually my No. 2 right behind Texas,” he said. “They’re doing big things there. That’s an exciting school. I know if I went there, Fozzy would probably give me a hard time because he bleeds orange a little bit, but he knows I have to make the best decision for me."

Some notes from 24/7...
-LB Cameron Townsend of Fort Bend Ridge Point is another prospect that will be at practice on Saturday.
-OL Toby Weathersby of Spring Westfield called Coach Wickline recently and that's the second week in a row he's done so.
-OL Matthew Burrell of Woodbridge, VA has said that the UT offer has "most likely" put Texas on top of his list.
From OrangeBloods, 2016 RB Kameron Martin of Port Arthur Memorial called Coach Robinson and Coach Vaughn last night to talk. He has been told an offer is coming "pretty soon", but we've heard that before so we'll see what happens. I keep thinking they may be waiting to offer him at Sop re Day to help build momentum for that class with a lot of prospects in attendance.
Any chance we might lock up Townsend this weekend? He's been high on us for a long time now, and Omenihu seems like he might have that effect on people. Elliott being there can only help, too.
When is that sop re day? And thanks, as always, T.
I don't think we'll see that happens. The guys over at 24/7 says the Townsends wants to make sure they make the right decision, so Cameron doesn't have to re-open his recruitment at some point. But I agree. Having Omenihu and Elliott on Texas' side can't hurt. Especially since both are good friends with Malik Jefferson. This weekend is going to be interesting.
