According to Chad Ford of ESPN Insider, the Lakers have a current Duke forward as their fourth-best prospect:
The Lakers like Embiid and Wiggins, but are also keeping their eye on Exum, who is working out with Kobe Bryant’s trainer, Tim Grover, in L.A. Parker probably ranks fourth on their list, followed by Randle.

Doesn't matter, as Fredo will pick a bust now that Ronnie Lester is no longer holding his hand

Parker can't defend and isn't a strong athlete.

Wiggins info might be old, pre-injury.

Wiggins, Exum, Gordon are the three best athletes in the draft.

I've heard rumblings Exum is angling to pull a alive and "only go LA".

He doesn't finish well around the basket at all, and plays out of control too much.

If we're not getting Wiggins or Embiid then I'm down with Exum or Jabari, pass on Gordon, Smart, Cauley-Stein or Julius.

And I remember when everything you just said could be said of Kobe, who once shot an air ball in the closing seconds of a playoff game.

He's 18/19. He's arguably more efficient offensively than Parker who gets more glory for scoring 22 on 19 shots.

Embiid needs at least one more year in school.

They attempt around the same shots, and Parker has a higher FG percentage.

I really liked Embiid, but he is not responding to minutes of play, number of games, and pretty pedestrian physicality ver well. Always looks to be grimacing, needing a breather/stretch/rest. He's missed multiple games for precaution, and now has a stress fracture in his spine.

I'd draft him back end, 8-14 where his risk is lower.

He just isn't responding positively to the slight increases in the physical nature of the game, takes himself out, and at times checks out mentally from the game.

Actually, Parker averages two FGA more, Wiggins has slightly lower FG%, but makes more 3s and FTs. Each has a five spot difference in FGA to PPG, Wiggins 12.2-17.4, Parker 14.3-19.3.

I think Embiid has a better chance of developing his game in the big league than in college tbh.

Wiggins may be overrated but I believe so is Parker. He's another hybrid forward who is a huge match up problem in college but not as much at the next level. Jabari wont be as successful playing PF in the NBA and doesn't have the elite quickness or athleticism to play arguably the most athletic position currently in the league. I look at him much the same way as Michael Beasley, a beast in college but a tweener forward in the NBA where he'll find both scoring and defending a much more difficult proposition. His skill level should still allow him to be a decent scorer but not the superstar type some people project him to be. Wiggins on the other hand has all the physical tools to translate his game well in the NBA at either SF or SG if he can become a more consistent shooter. I'd put my money on Wiggins over Parker to have a better pro career.
