Wait...so scoring determines if he was second fiddle or not?
Kobe led the Lakers in scoring 18/35 games and 4/8 series in the 01 and 02 playoffs.
Kirby has been over-rated for the greater part of his career. When most people talk about him, they talk about his scoring les and his 5 championship rings, along with his reputation as a fierce compe or.What they fail to talk about are his glaring weaknesses in his resume. In his first 3 championship runs, Kobe played second fiddle to center Shaquille O’Neal, as evidenced by Daddy winning all of the Finals’ MVPs of those years. As well as winning the Finals’ MVPs, he led the team in scoring in every game but 2 games throughout 3 years worth of finals games.

What's wrong with it besides the controversial spot for Mikan?
well one is Kobe above Hakeem
Funny thing is AGAINST YOUR SPURS Kobe was the Lakers leading scorer in every playoff series except '99.
Silly spurfan
Tired Old Quitbag ranked over Shaq, West, Oscar, Duncan, Mikan, Wilt, Hakeem, LeBron, Pet , Baylor, Dr. J and Moses
Yeah Kobe's had a great career dude. Don't see the problem.
5 rings
2 fmvps
1 mvp
2 scoring les
15 allnba teams
11 allnba first teams
16 allstar teams
4th most points
3rd most playoff points
led the playoffs in scoring 3 times
top 5 in mvp voting 11 times
top 3 in mvp voting 5 times
5th most 30-point games
3rd most 40-point games
3rd most 50-point games
2nd most 60-point games
2nd most 30-point playoff games
4th most 40-point playoff games
That he didn't even deserve, btw.... and listing all the 50- and 60-point games as if we're supposed to slurp his blatant statpadding and chucking

But Hakeem (1), Oscar (1), Shaq (1), West (0), Baylor (0) are supposed to rank higher though? At least be consistent.
Then Wilt, Kareem, Oscar, Hakeem, Lebron can't be top 10 either.
More quits than MVPs
I should also mention that his 05-06 average of 35.4 ppg was the 8th highest ever and the highest since 86-87 MJ. Probably wont be surpassed for a while, only see Durant being capable of doing it any time soon.
Wonder where Duncan's "great" season is?
Since when did LeBron miss the playoffs in his prime? He missed them in his first two years when he was 19 and 20 years old, that's not his prime, dumbass![]()
Kirbystan obsessing over scoring and ignoring the rest of the sport per the usual![]()
04-05 he averaged 27/7/7 and had a career high in points too before his 62 this year.
Centers generally don't win MVPs. Guards do, and he couldn't even win mroe than 1 as the supposed "best player in the league"
35.4 ppg along with 5.3 rpg, 4.5 apg, 1.8 spg, on 45/35/85 shooting. Basically averaged 35/5/5...
Fixed for accuracy![]()
He led the league in scoring in 06 and 07 though.
And his team was not better off for it.
