Wife sent this to me with the subject "THIS IS YOU." Sad but true tbh, especially when considering 6.

Area Man’s Emotional State Completely Dependent On Outcome Of Professional Sporting Event

DAYTON, OH—Noting that he does not possess a financial or otherwise tangible investment in the compe ions, sources confirmed Thursday that local man David Milburn’s emotional state is completely dependent on the outcome of professional sporting events. “When they win I am happy, but when they lose I am sad,” said the man whose entire outlook on a given day will be determined solely by how a group of people he does not know perform in a recreational game that afternoon. “Occasionally my team makes me furious and my whole week is ruined. On the other hand, sometimes they also make me feel really proud. I can feel a lot of things; it just depends on the game.” Household sources added that Milburn, the best and worst days of whose life correlate to the dates of past games that are ultimately meaningless, also appears to believe that actively encouraging or admonishing teams from his living room has some bearing on their likelihood of success.

I was like this for the 2002/2003 season, and esp after the Championship and throughout the 03/04 season.

Playoffs 2004 broke my heart, and cured me.

Too true. Waay too much time looking for interesting Spurs stuff periodically though out the day until the next game starts. Been pretty upbeat the last 11 games...
    Coincidence?
    Maybe.

This was likely written by a woman. They will never understand sports and their importance. And pregame rituals do affect the team. There is a karma balance that can be changed lol

It's probably written by someone who isn't supers ious. Whatever you do will work on the order of 70-71% during the Duncan era, no more no less,

This is really funny, but it's not really something to make fun of. Like an above poster said, sports are a way for people to escape from our daily lives. For some of us, we grow up watching these teams and players day in and day out to the point where they really become our idols, so it isn't surprising to see that their success makes us happy and vice versa.

Not me 05 I wanted it more and when that le happened I was like whatever happens now is icing on the cake......... When they won in that game 7 in 05 I was good. 06 I was hurt alot but knew they had a shot the next year and they went and got another one! I felt spoiled then as a fan! What other fans get to see 4 les in their lives and great years over and over? I felt COMPLETE after 05 and 07 was just spoiled! After that it's all just gravy and then some.
