If CCU wins...
Gotta hand it to the 16th seeds so far. 3 of 4 have given us good games/efforts
One year the selection committee just needs to fill one of the regions with exclusively Wildcats-mascot teams.
CCU put up a good fight but UVA is pulling away now.... I do think we're closer than ever to a 16 taking down a 1 one of these years, but not quite there yet....
Ok, hopefully UCLA holds on tonight, and if they do I'll have finished the first round 22/32...brutal, but only lost one Elite 8 team (Duke)...my Final Four is still intact and looking good, but the 2nd rd matchups/picks that worry me:
-Pittsburgh OVER Florida...as I stated before this is me calling my shot--I have UCLA beating Pitt in the Sweet 16, but dropping the surging Gators (who everybody and their mother has at least going to the Final Four) would be so money.
-Louisville OVER St. Louis...I have them in the FF and they just came off a physically and emotionally draining nailbiter against Manhattan. Luckily, St. Louis played into OT and should be tired too.
-Kentucky OVER Wichita St...I have neither team going far anyways, but some opponents are all aboard the WSU train
-Arizona OVER Gonzaga...For some reason this reminds me of a 2nd rd matchup they had 10-12 years go that was fiercely compe ive and went to OT before the Cats prevailed. They are better and more talented than Gonzaga, but this school only shows up in the tourney when they play the role of underdog (they suck as favs)--so I have a sneaking su ion the Zags keep this close. Not worried about Cuse or Sparty (my other 2 FF teams)..Dayton and Harvard should be no problem for them.
My boys will pull the upset over Wichita, but I just can't see them taking Louisville. Cards play a frighteningly physical (i.e. they get away with fouls all the damn time) and I'm not sure if this KY team has the mental for ude to deal with it. Alas, we shall see.
Wichita State will win the tourney, guaranteed. If they don't i will ban myself until the start of Pats training camp.
btw that is a ing horrible Georgetown logo. Get that bulldog logo instead, mods.
Assuming UCLA wins, I'm currently 25/28 in my Rivals.com Know-it-all bracket league, but I have the second highest potential left with 181 points, second only to 182.
Have 15/16 Sweet 16 8/8 Elite 8.
Lots of points for me that others don't have.
if UCLA chokes this one away. my bracket is edi have them in the championship game

Can Wichita St. beat Kentucky? ESPN and CBS Sports have the round by round brackets. This is hardest thing to pick in sports. I think my best bracket was 25/32. NC State and Duke ed that up.

I had a 28/32 once and lost eventually. Two years I've won started similar to this. It's not about how many losses early, it's about who loses.
Only loss of the 11 that hurt was Duke, and I only had them advancing to Sweet 16.
I did check and the one guy ahead of me in potential points has same FF, le Game, Champ as I do, but he has Baylor beating Creighton, I have Creighton losing in Elite 8.
That could decide things.
Holy I use to play pick up ball with that Walkup guard and his bro from Stephen F Austin. He's good people tbh.
Good games all over. Harvard for the upset.
I hope so, but it's going to be an up hill battle.
I like that pick.. doesn't mean it's going to happen, but gutsy call.
I think UCONN + 4 and Oregon +6 are solid bets. I can see both those teams winning.
NDSU also looks nice.
That's a of a sheet Duke screwed me ... other than that I am pretty good tbh called ND state and Dayton ... ALso VCU bit me ...but had my Bruins smashing them anyways
No, Michigan is a solid team. If Texas can out muscle them in the paint, then maybe we have a shot, but I wouldn't feel comfortable picking them (and I didn't in my bracket vs. Michigan).
