That's perhaps the worst basketball I've seen Parker play in years.

I don't see why Tony thinks he needs to play hero ball.

Try to get Leonard in the post more.

    Give Mills a go.

Hope Diaw and Marco start hitting those open shots.

    Try Daye?

Parker missed a wide open Leonard so he can dribble himself into trouble and turn it over.

He's darn near ing useless against a taller defender with some athletic ability. Wake up and get your head out of your ass.

If only we had another shot creator tbh. As soon as Parker goes out or is ineffective this team gets crazy stagnant and starts throwing up contested shot after contested shot. Kawhi needs to be more aggressive imo.

Damn Tony looks slow as out there right now
Been like that all season. Frenchie prioritized irrelevant FIBA ball over the Spurs. Been running on fumes all year after choosing not to rest in the summer. Twelve years in SA and he's still disappointing Spurs fans.

Parker's clogging up the offense hero balling it and then getting abused on defense. Should have worn a suit tonight.

Don't know if Pop calls it or if TP is just trying to be aggressive, frustrating indeed.

Parker is a greedy player. He's not old as Manu or Tim so he's not thinking about passing a torch. He's thinking about getting his. Also, he's probably been told to attack. I'm sure he'd like to sit back and let others do the work right now.

Pop isn't worried about winning or losing this game. I think he's looking at specific aspects of how the team deals with pressure. The 15pt lead wasn't going to hold up, and the Warriors have made most of it up, however without that 15pt lead we are now 12pts in the hole. Leads are to buffer runs, nothing more.

Parker has been great for sparking us in the first quarter. I feel like Parker wouldn't have gone all hero-ball if Timmy and Ginobili were playing, that doesn't explain his defense though. His stance is just way too low and he can't contest anyone who just shoots over him.

yep, but not me. I know even if he's worn down, he'll still go 6/23 and avoid open guy.

Change "score" to "defend", "Jospeh" to "Mills" and "offensive" to "defensive", and you have your answer.
I think at the PG position, offense is a lot more important. As long as we have our bigs in the middle to clog the paint, we just need a PG who can run an offense. But I see your point, given Pop's philosophy. But I think if he actually does put Joseph in the rotation, it would be a huge mistake. The Spurs are at their worst when they struggle on offense. So taking out Mills would suck.
