If we have home court I think we beat OKC. I never have been too worried about Houston, I think Spurs got some solid defenders to guard their best players. It wouldn't be my first choice to play either of these teams though before the WCF though.

Houston seems to be too stupid to far well in the playoffs.

That end of the @ Miami game was embarrassing. It was like "lets hold the ball for 2 seconds make 3 passes along the wing and settle for a contested 3 late in the clock."

I think we always could. The last Houston loss showed a clear path to beating their starting unit. Have Diaw start and exploit Jones in the post. Jones isn't a great 3pt shooter, so that makes it even easier for Diaw to cover him.

Diaw again is the x factor against OKC. He tends to spot up behind the 3pt line against OKC quite a bit. If he can stretch Ibaka 4 of 5 steps out of the paint, The Spurs could get some clean looks in the paint off drives or backdoor cuts.

No, it isn't scoring on OKC's defense, it's defening OKC's offense. We'll see how long Patty can stay on the floor when he's gaurding Reggie Jackson.

Our problem against OKC is scoring against their athleticism. In the WCF they could show and recover or trap Parker and Ginobili. It became extremely difficult to execute. Our defense on OKC is generally excellent. Durant gets to the line significantly less and Westbrook has had some of his worst games against the Spurs (including that 6 points on 18 shots game earlier this season).

Mills shortcomings can be minimized with Splitter on the floor. We saw how well he can be defended the paint against GSW. I also expect Green to play more with the 2nd unit and Leonard to close games out at the 4.

Our bench will likely look something like Mills-Beli-Manu-Splitter with Diaw/ Leonard playing at the 4 for a few minutes. Green will play some with that unit replacing Belinelli.

Their bench is likely going to be Jackson-Fisher-Butler-Adams-Collision.

I think people are underestimating how much weaker this OKC team is than in 2012. Durant is better, but at the end of the day he's still a jumpshooter. Harden was always the scariest part of that team IMO, the way he could get in to the lane and draw fouls is Manu-esque.

I still can't believe they broke up that team when they could have kept Harden and amnestied Perkins. Could have been a multi-championship dynasty, now with Westbrook having injury concerns they might never win a le.

, at the time I'd have traded Westbrook for Rondo + Bradley. Rondo is a better fit with OKC on a cheap contract until 2015 and allows you to keep Harden and Perkins if you really want.

Or rather, how well Parker is able to defend Westbrook throughout the game. If he's somehow able to hold Westbrook to under 25, which is unlikely with a defender of Parker's caliber, then it would be an easy win for us. Kevin Durant can't do it all on offense.

Well maybe the Servant didn't want to play with a strip club addict like Harden, then you do trade Harden no matter what... We may never know the true reason but Presti has such a great track record that I really wonder if this was as it seemed...

In 2012 they didn't have Reggie Jackson... Imo they'd be at their best with Jackson starting (best defensive unit by far) and Chuckbrook off the bench in the Harden role. That'd be scary.

Yes, they can. Houston has looked good against the Spurs this season, but I think a 7 game series favors SA. OKC presents athleticism issues. However, if the Spurs play them with HCA, I still like their chances. Kawhi can limit Durant for stretches, Westbrook is still a liability on offense, and the Spurs have offloaded ineffective Gary Neal and gotten a much more consistent weapon in Belinelli.

I think Spurs should have no problem against Rockets since Duncan owns that mental midget.

The problem with OKC are always with the zebras. If the games are called fairly, Spurs should win readily.
However, that is often not the case with OKC..
