He's been having achilles issues a lot over the past 2 years, tbh.. Worried?
Sean said don't worry.
I'm sure he's sore all over. He was on the ground quite a bit vs GS
He fine. Even if he is out for the playoffs we got daye
OMG! Achillies!! It's all over!!!
Tony was a late scratch for this game, being removed just 45 minutes before tip-off. Tiago and Danny didn't play either. So there's every reason to believe that Pop just made up some bogus injury to buy him some extra rest.
As DesignatedT said Tony would be sore all over. He probably has been sore all over for 12 years the amount of time he hits the floor, plays and trains etc. He'll be fine. I said after the infamous rest-gate scandal and the Spurs subsequent fine that instead of DNP-Rest, there will be a lot of DNP- (insert made up bull over-exaggerated injuries) Hopefully this is one and he will be ok.
Sean said it was CIA pop
Pop said in the post game that Tony's Achilles was a little tight and he expects him to play next game.
Enrique is a warrior. Playing through ongoing Achilles injuries..![]()
Its the Sixer's. Parker was just giving Splitter and Parker a rest. He probably sat Green as well so Daye could get minutes. I am sure Daye has been working hard with Chip and learning the System, and last night, he didn't disappoint. Good things come to those who wait, unlike Nando who just kept on ing about his role.
I'd rest Parker until the #1 west seed is in jeopardy... otherwise... rest and cardio so that he starts the playoffs with fury...
Get to 100% tp
after pop sat him for multiple consecutive games, the only vintage tp game we've seen afterwards was against miami
What do you consider to be in jeopardy? We are only two games up on OKC with a acious April stretch looming.
OKC within 1/2 game...
One more Spurs loss outside of the OKC game and OKC technically controls its own destiny. Own tiebreaker plus have the head-to-head game left...
So the people who are saying it is in peril are correct.
OKC lost last night. They should win their next two, but Utah did beat them the last time they played.
Spurs should win their next 3 games. I think the Spurs will beat the Pacers (a little revenge for the early season drubbing) next Monday and GS. But more than likely the Spurs will lose against OKC b/c they will be playing the 3rd games in 4 nights against very good teams.
OKC actually has a tougher end schedule than the Spurs, so I see the Spurs being seeded #1 at the end of the season.
Spurs could be up 3 games on OKC if they win tonight, not sure what everyone is worried about. OKC is definitely going to lose again before the season is over even if they do beat us on a back to back.
