I heard a couple of other guys heard babies in the hallway, kids running down the hallway. Creepy. I really heard voices and a baby in the room, and there wasn’t anybody in there. But when they told me the story the next day about calling up there and no one in the room, it’s at that point you get chills. I totally agreed with him. There was a baby there, absolutely. I heard about the history of the place, and I’d rather not (stay there again).

This could story could become annoying as if the Spurs play the Warriors during the playoffs. TV stories, signs at Dubs home games, people pranking the team at their hotel, that sorta .

Knowing Errors he probably tried the the wrong room.
Ayres probably heard himself crying(at the loss of playing time) but didn't want to admit it.
Knowing Ayers he probably dropped the key down a drain or something and made up this story for why he screwed up.

Wouldn't be surprised if this happened. Then Ayres' cries afterwards is exactly what Duncan heard, and Jeff just rolled with it.
