    - I'll still be here. Didn't leave after _irk pimp slapped us in '11. Why would I leave if you guys win? Besides, Duncan getting #5 >>>>>>> LBJ getting #3 - at least in my eyes. I'd hate to see LBJ 3peat. Real talk.

props. I'm sure some heads will bail if Spurs can win that 5, but the good posters will stick around.

I never had a problem with Lebron winning a le, I wanted him to get one so people would shut up about it. But that second one was bull . Not that Lebron didn't deserve it, but it literally took Murphy's Law in 6 for it to happen, and I didn't like the way he acted afterwards. If Spurs can make it back, I don't think they go as easy this time or make the same mistakes.

They don't. Duncan bests Kobe in nearly every playoff advanced category there is. From PER to Defensive Rating to even Deuce's precious TS%. He also bests Kobe in nearly every important traditional stat, aside from PPG (which he's only 3 points behind the "greatest scorer evar!") and assists. Duncan is even more clutch.

Sample from the 1st two rounds of the 2003-4 playoffs:

And their respective clutch stats since 00':

This is why Kobe fans default to rings. They have no other argument.
Duncan made Battier look like Mount Mutumbo in one of his clutch moments. Explain that shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit if you dare.

Kobe Bryant Admits Being Shaq's Sidekick During Lakers Championships

    http://www.nbclosangeles.com/blogs/t...191065851.html
It may have taken a full decade, but Kobe Bryant finally admitted he was Shaquille O’Neal’s sidekick during the Los Angeles Lakers’ three-peat from 2000-2003 (see video above).

When asked point blank if he was Shaq’s sidekick during the duo’s time together, Kobe responded, “Yea, for sure.

“The challenge for me was to show [Shaq] and show everybody else that I could win without him,” Bryant continued. “Point proven.”
    Having to prove himself

I wonder how many times 3Duncan had to do that compared to 2Kobe.

Kobe's led the playoffs in 4th quarter scoring 4 times in '01, '02, '03, and '08. The 4th quarter stats of Kobe and Duncan in their h2h playoff series is rape.

These s even think Duncan's more clutch
    .460 to .397.

    Stats says he's is.

4th quarter point totals. How many shots did he take? How many were intentional FTs (where a lot of guards pad their 4th quarter stats)?

Argue against data all you want, but it's a failing effort, since the stats don't back you up.

    Spin that.

I was talking in his head-to-head with the Spurs.

Do you have Kobe's "clutch" stats (5 minutes left, neither team ahead or behind by 5). I don't care about overall 4th quarter stats since Kobe would often pad in a blowout.

Duncan: 0 scoring les in the regular season and playoffs combined
Duncan: 0 blocking les in the regular season and playoffs combined
Duncan: 0 fg% les in the regular season and playoffs combined

Dwight has all the above (except scoring, plus he has rebounding les) and 3 DPOYs to Duncan's 0

If you're going to reduce an entire game down to the 4th quarter (as you often do), why can't we go further and examine what happens in the last half of a close game?

This is how misleading "4th quarter" stats are.

In the '01 Western Conference Finals, the Lakers had a 24 point lead with 9 min left in the 4th and Kobe stayed in for another 6 minutes, scoring 9 more points. Nothing "clutch" about that.

They didn't keep track of them until '74. Russell, Wilt, and Kareem would be ahead if they did. Plus that's based on playing a lot of games...
