    tbh, the fact is that if he doesn't win the WC, he's gonna be thrown under the bus... so saying he needs to play a "dominant" WC is kinda baloney... even if he happens to win it, I'm sure some haters still gonna hate, IMO...

    Argentina is going in with the same questions on defense... the attack always been solid, and the middle decent, but the back 4 and keepers are always sleeping...

    I don't think he needs to win a wc. A lot of the greatest players didn't win it starting by cruyff, platini etc but they still played dominant and marked a wc. Messi still needs to achieve that. IMO fwiw

    Not sure if Phenomanul is being sarcastic or not, even if he is, pretty safe Leo will be among the best when he retires, the absolute best if he wins a World Cup

    , his one of those players that even if he doesn't win the World Cup, people will still regard him as the best of all time. He just needs to perform in a spectacular fashion in the World Cup. Hard to argue against all the records his breaking and all that he has won in Barcelona.

    People have short memory or are too young. He is not up there with Diego and pele that's ridiculous. between top 50 and top 3 there is a lot of room to rank him.

    he has yet to dominate a World Cup to be in the conversation for goat.
