I'm about an hour and a half into Goodfellas right now. 10/10 movie
Can't beat it. Never grows old. You can pick it up anywhere and it's fine.

Liotta lights it. DeNiro is good, Pesci too, but, it's Liotta that sparkles each time he's shown. & he lifts the actor that plays his wife. Take her with him with his talent. She's light at default, but, you'd never know it with Liotta drawing it from her.

I like the scene where they stop at Pesci's mother's house to get the implement and sit down for a meal. It's so peaceful at the table there and it shows the Liotta character in much too deep. He carries that scene just by his eye movement and the shyness he displays as the character thru his acting a en.

Liotta was great, but Joe Pesci was it tbh. Great movie and will go down as Scorsese's best movie till date.

Still remember The Departed trolls on Spurstalk. Good times. Whatever happened to those sticks tbh?

The problem with Pesci in it is Scorsese's insistence on doing "Casino" and using Pesci in basically a mirror image of "Tommy" right down to the lounge scene where he nearly kills the guy with the ball point pen.

Once "Casino" broke it muddied the waters for both pictures, especially for Pesci.

My favorite scene is when Liotta's taking his girl to the comedy show. They cut through the line, down the back hallways, through the kitchen, all the way to their table, and not a single cut scene. Christ!

Great movie. First time I saw it was in this film class I took my senior year of high school. I heard the class was an easy A, so I took it. I ended up watching a lot of great films, and have become a bit of a movie junkie ever since.
