I really hope he is coasting, if not we're done imo.

The less the team is reliable on one player the better, but it only works for the regular season.

Tony and Manu are the only players able to create their own shot and keep the ball safe under pressure, we need them badly in the clutch.

Tony need to get his legs back and Manu his shot, but it's not yet the time to push the panic button imo.

Damn Sportscenter... they have an upcoming topic "Spurs suffer loss" and I'm sweating in anticipation for how bad the news is, and it's the Goddamn Tottenham Hotspurs, who lost to Liverpool, 4-0 today.

Seriously. I went to like every NBA site to see what the happened before the segment finally aired.

This is why people hate soccer.
    The "Hotspurs"...

It's ESPN's fault, the proper grammar for that headline topic would have been "Spurs suffers loss". The club in Tottenham is colloquially, collectively called Spurs, not "the" Spurs.

Anyway, on an unrelated note, I love soccer, and as an LFC supporter this season has been quite entertaining.

Don't mean , tbh. OKC went in raw and won 4 straight when the Spurs looked unbeatable.
It didn't have one thing to do with the thunder, that was all refs. This year SA-miami seems like a more interesting matchup so we may get a fair shake.

I really believe Parker is picking his spots. He hasn't needed to be aggresive. And I think the team may be better or atleast harder to defend when our attack can come from anywhere at anytime. Once the playoffs start I believe you will see a hunger like you've never seen before that could make this streak pale in comparison.

    truth bomb tbh

we need MVParker to make any kind of noise in the Playoffs. this 17 game winning streak is comparable to Rockets streak of 22 a couple of years ago im

they got bounced in round 1

today's game shows that Spurs are compe ive when Parker takes the reigns of the team. Great stuff from Parker tbh

now if he could start showing some consistency, this team might just have a chance in imo

Spurs have too many good players now. Their game doesn't depend on ONE player having to be great every night.

Clearly put in more effort getting into the paint and finishing today and competed much harder defensively as well. Showed bursts of speed that we haven't seen for a little bit which makes me believe he has been carrying a little injury or just coasting, tbh.

I wouldn't say panic button but 18 in a row is a setup for some major disappointment when we crash down to earth/get eliminated tbh.

Parker's coasting. I am sure Pop told him not to be aggressive at this point of the season. Why risk getting reinjured. He is not done, he is just not playing aggressive at the moment. As you get older, you have to pick and chose your battles (Kobe anyone). Save it for the playoffs.

Spurs have won 18 straight with Parker playing way below his usual self and even w/o him. And you are saying its time to hit the panic button??????

Pop won't allow this to happen. As I mentioned before, yes a loss would be a like a bucket of Ice Water on the team, thus why Pop will make sure we lose and lose more than once before the season is over.

As I stated before, the Spurs strategy is to go and win the next 5 games (they already got one in Indiana). They have 4 more "compe ive" games to go and then will decelerate to a cruising speed for the remaining 5 or so games of the season. (lots of DNP, rest, etc) The seeding won't matter. Believe me, Pop won't give 2 s even if we are 1/2 game ahead or behind OKC at that point. Spurs reducing to cruising speed in 4 games time.

Playoffs will be started with a clean slate

Tonight's game was very concerning. MVParker did almost nothing and I don't think he scored a single point in the second half. Add in a few horrendous turnovers... I'm not sure the Spurs can win without at least an average MVParker and I'm not sure we can get that against OKC, MVParker's kryptonite.

He is done, keeps trying the same that never worked again and again to be owned by Ibaka or even when he is¨creating plays¨ he goes to the paint where 3 guys are guarding Tiago or Timmy to pass them the ball and as a result... they lose the ball, no biggie I´ve seen this over the last 6 years I blame Pop.
