Not bad for a guy many thought was almost done in 2008 ...kudos.
To this day I would only take maybe Blake, Aldrigde and Anthony Davis (for a series) as bigs over a near 40 Timmy ... impressive.
http://www.nba.com/2014/news/03/31/v...s-of-the-week/Tim Duncan, San Antonio Spurs> March 26 vs. Denver: Notched 29 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals in a 108-103 win over the Nuggets.
> March 28 @ Denver: Posted 20 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks during a 133-102 win as the Spurs swept a home-and-home with the Nuggets.
> March 29 vs. New Orleans: Scored 12 points and added eight rebounds, six assists and four blocks during a 96-80 win over the Pelicans.
Other nominees for the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week were Brooklyn's Paul Pierce, Charlotte's Al Jefferson, Cleveland's Dion Waiters, Miami's LeBron James, Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant, Phoenix's Goran Dragic, Toronto's DeMar DeRozan and Washington's John Wall.

Errr...you posted an article from when he won it in 2012 lol. Tim did win Western Conference Player of the Week for this past week though.

"Duncan led the Spurs to the NBA's lone unbeaten record on the week at 4-0. He averaged 20.0 points (tied-eighth in the conference) on .625 shooting from the field (eighth in the conference), 8.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.0 steals. On March 26, Duncan's versatility was on display as he posted 29 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals during a 108-103 win over the Denver Nuggets."

Anthony Davis yes, but I'd still take Duncan over the other two in a 7-game series.
TD is Special no doubt. Appreciate him now everyone. I'm amazed he is still so effective at 38. Kareem may be the only guy as good as TD at 38 years old. Most guy that age are in a TV Studio, not on the floor making good things happen.
Till the wheels fall off......
It's going to hurt when he retires. Just enjoying the ride right now though!
Kareem, Parish, Malone, Olajuwon, Gilmore, Green and Ewing are the only ones that can compare to Duncan.
Noone else in history has done what Duncan is doing at his age.
congrats to the old man, tbh. Still the best player on the team.
Agreeed. Anthony Davis is TD at 21.
It is eerie, never thought I see a young TD maybe ever, but definitely not while TD is still in the league.
Also, congrads to TD, such a great player.
Yeah I agree - and even with Davis, Duncan still has some advantages. He's a better passer, more experienced, better leadership, more clutch, etc.
Well deserved. The guy is simply amazing. Congrats to TD!![]()
i'd be hardpressed to believe anybody besides TLong would prefer Aldridge to Duncan in a 7 game series
Is he the oldest guy ever to win the award?
i dont think so, here is the full list

Amazing how consistent Tim has been over his career's duration.
