The Heat wouldn't want any part of the the Spurs this time around if they ever clash in the Finals. A matchup against OKC in the WCF is another thing.

Spurs will run into a roadblock in the playoffs in the form of James Harden or Kevin Durant. Spurs won't make it out of the 2nd round.

this season is reminiscent of the 2012 season when we got backdoor ed by OKC imo

Parker/Manu/Duncan looking mas-o-menos and the rest of our scrubs rolling on adrenalin from a loooong win streak. a loss would be a bucket of ice water on the team

let's hope Spurs lose a few times before playoffs start or they are not going anywhere.

My only concern like I said upstairs last time spurs looked this good OKC backdoor swept them ...
Of course those dumbasses traded Harden instead of Perk ..and signed Ibaka ...

But a reminder that even when the Spurs look unbeatable that is not a guarantee.

the other variable was the officiating in that game 6 was terrible, almost as criminal as game 6 of 2002 WCF. Spurs got hosed at the end. It doesn't excuse Parker ting the bed when Sefolasha was put on him though. I don't mind Spurs losing some games, health is all I care about, though HCA is always an issue with Thunderefs.

No team has won it all without a superstar since the 03 pistons. And even then, it took a supernova Billups and one of the best defenses in the last 20 years to achieve this.

truth is, if MVParker does not regain his superstar form, it's just not gonna happen fellas

Cant believe people actually go along with dumb like 'a long winning streak is a bad thing' or 'you need a superstar to win'.

    Last three, actually
    This and more this.

2012: Stern backdoor swept the Thunder out the playoffs so the Thunder could "advance"

2013: Pop got sloppy, bad break on two rebounds, series over

Never count your chickens before they hatch, Spurs fans.

You ain't the Heat, the Lakers, etc: you ain't popular, nor getting ANY calls when it matters.

As a matter of fact, the more dominant the Spurs get, the more whistles go against them, for parity's sake, or just outright rigging.

And we haven't even gotten to the injury bug. TD goes down in some useless RS game, it's all over, Spurs won't even get out of the first round.

All these factors, you can't bank on a le for the SA.

The Spurs could be up 40 with 6 min left to eliminate the Heat, and win the le, and no Spurs fans should celebrate yet.

There's no reason for Spursfan not to be optimistic... there's obviously no guarantees in sports, but they're playing great. Might as well enjoy it.

You make a good comparison with the 2004 Pistons, but you incorrectly imply that the 04 Pistons were better than the 2014 Spurs. It's the other way around.

these 2014 Spurs better than the 04 Pistons??

no way in . I am not sure this team is even capable of beating the Shaq/Kobe Lakers. no proof whatsoever that this is the case
