    Cracks me up that they had to tone Tommy DeSimone way down for the movie. If you read the book, he's way nastier than his portrayal by Pesci. I love that the Sopranos took half the Goodfellas cast: Melfi, Chris, Pauly, Phil Leo o, Larry Barese, and lots of others.

    I like the scene where they stop at Pesci's mother's house to get the implement and sit down for a meal. It's so peaceful at the table there and it shows the Liotta character in much too deep. He carries that scene just by his eye movement and the shyness he displays as the character thru his acting a en.
    Yeah. I hate how Goodfellas and Casino were sort of the same movie.

    Yep, and even though a movie aficionado consciously can keep them apart & independent still the subconscious is activated at reflection of these films. {GF} if pure and good. {Casino} is contrived & forced, rushed & reckless from production to the execution of the frenetic script. Hurried & harried, like (they) couldn't wait to get their money from it/us.

    About it being almost Sil--it is like Sil. Don't go in with high expectations and you will be surprised. I thought the same way. I became a fan because of the interesting contrast between the American and Norwegian life...very interesting take. The language thing is a little choppy and unbelievable but the premise is worth watching. There are only 2 seasons so its not a life taker.

    Person of Interest was a good one till that Sahi chick came along. No expressions on her whatsoever.
