Magic # for HCA Throughout Playoffs

I am sure I will be corrected, but I believe the current magic number for the good guys to have home court advantage throughout the playoffs is 6. OKC is the only team within striking distance and that's the team being compared against. I believe OKC owns the tiebreaker in head to head play, so we must avoid finishing in a tie with them.

Any combination of Spur wins and OKC losses that add up to 6 should seal the deal.

We've been keeping track of it in the "Race for the 1 Seed" Thread that's at about the middle of the first page. But yes, you're correct.

As I been preaching, Spurs are just going to try to win the next 4 games. Then will shut down till the playoffs.

So IMO the magic number is 3 out of the next 4. If Spurs can win 3 out of next 4, they are guaranteed home court. Another option is going 2-2 but one of their wins vs. OKC. So IMO home court could be decided as early as tomorrow night
