If this was our first game in 3 days, I'd agree with you.
So scared that WestChuck and Ethiopian will end Spurs longest streak in history
who made it to the flight in okc?![]()
we need to rest Duncan, sure he played only 20 minutes last night, he still needs rest
calling to rest our guys so we have an excuse
too scared to go full strength vs Ethiopian and his officiating crew
Need built in excuses to avoid another collaps
nut up es. Spurs need to go full strength tonight. and if we lose we lose
If this was our first game in 3 days, I'd agree with you.
If we had the West locked up, had played overtime last night and weren't playing the guys on our heels tonight, I'd agree with you
There is something to be said about just whooping your enemies ass. Good post.
Agreed... if you're scared, buy a dog, tbh...
Let's hope Pop doesn't go silly and sits everyone down...
It's cause OKC is the only team that has the Spurs' number.
It's really simple. You play your A team tonight and if you win, you can pretty much rest them the remaining 5-6 games after which will give them plenty of time to rest up while enjoying clinching HCA throughout the playoffs. Don't think of worst-case scenarios and just play the ing game the way they know how, run your , keep your hands up in front of the refs and let the ball roll where it may.
Yeah I agree. Go all out tonight.
so true
Bingo.
If the Spurs lose tonight, the Thunder will only be 2 games back in the loss column with 6 games to go. That will mean the Spurs would need to win five of their final six to assure themselves HCA, assuming the Thunder run the table (which I don't consider completely unlikely, considering how well they are playing and the fact that everybody left in their path is already closing up shop for the playoffs or offseason) Wouldn't that be harder on the team than just playing everybody tonight and going for a win?
I started the game thread on a Thunder forum this time.
Okc is apparently the new boogie monster. Its downright sad. Spurs fans need to nut-up. Okc has great talent for sure but we have a better, smarter, more cohesive team. No fear.
i agree![]()
Refs are the ones we should be worried about.
plus tonight's game is worth 2x a regular game. why in the would you at least not TRY to win it?
as it stands a series between OKC and Spurs is a toss up. So home court matters a lot in this case
One thing will prove true after this game and in the coming days. Win or lose, you'll be a hater.
The spurstalk personality, of course, and not you as a soul.
It's because there was never really closure for the 2012 WCF.
Since OKC was unceremoniously removed by Memphis from last years playoffs, the Spurs never got the re-match that many expected to be inevitable. That was great for the Spurs, as they got a chance to sweep Memphis and rid that monkey from their back en route to the Finals...but it still leaves that wound left by OKC untended . Sure, we've gotten a few regular season "revenge" wins on them since then, but they've got the 3-0 advantage this year to throw a little salt on things.
Spurs fans talk about how the Thunder are different without Beardy, and how they can't match up with the Spurs now...but everybody knows that has yet to be proven. Until it is, OKC is going to be the number one team on everybody's radar.
Green needs to stick on Jackson like a fly on .
What's bull is they've had 4 days to rest and we're coming off a b2b and 5 games in 7 nights. That's why we need to sit guys so their win won't mean . the league.
it's true the backdoor sweep at the hands of OKC might have hurt the Spursfans more than they think
I mean we were on a similar streak of 18+ straight wins when it happened. and 12 straight jumpers from a Nigerian cabdriver just poured salt in the wound imo
and then to follow up that backdoor sweep with 6
damn. no wonder we are scared of our own shadow![]()
I agree that we should go all out tonight. OKC is missing Reggie Jackson, Sefolosha, and Perkins tbh...not like they're full strength either.
Meaningless game if all those guys are out for OKC. Standings wise a win would be nice.
Reggie Jackson is out?? Why the didn't you say so!
Spurs got this!
It's like playing the '91 Bulls without Jordan, Pippen, Grant and Phil Jackson
