Grizzlies in 6
This year's road to the championship?
First round we have to face Dirk, a scrappy Suns team, or Memphis. Even though we swept Memphis last year, they did add the Spur killer in Mike Miller.
Second round we would get the Blazers, who have religiously owned us over the years, or Houston who has a prime Harden/Dawhite combo with tons of shooters.
Then in the WCF we would have to face a prime KD and the refs, or a revamped Clippers squad who look a lot better than when we swept them two years ago.
And of course in the finals it's gonna be Miami and the supper friends.
So, where do you rank the difficulty of this road to #5?
Round 1: 4/10 - likely a sweep but could go five
Round 2: 8/10 (HOU) or 5/10 (POR); 7 games and 5 games, respectively
WCF: 7.5/10 (LAC) or 9.5/10 (OKC) or 6/10 (GSW); 6, 7, and 5 games, respectively
Finals: 7.5/10 (IND) or 9/10 (MIA); both 6 games
Of course, the # of games is the minimum amount of games the Spurs would need to dispatch their opponents in each round; by no means am I guaranteeing anything.
I guess I'd base these numbers on a 1/10 being us playing the Bobcats (with Al Jefferson playing with a blindfold) and a 10/10 being equivalent to the hardest-fought series in Spurs history (DET '05 and MIA '13)
I'm going to wait and see what the actual final seedings are before I even think about the difficulty of the path.
Who the cares. If we make it we make it. I say we lose in the 2nd though.![]()

I think we will go up 2-0 in the first 2 rounds, and we should sweep. Houston reminds me of Golden State, we figured them out. I fear Houston more than the Clippers. If Blake Griffin is hitting outside shots that's one less big at the basket, I'll take that.
that line peaked my interest in his improvement in that area. He's definitely improved as a shooter.
Blake Griffin
10-16 Feet-41 FGM-103 FGA- (40.4%)
16->3 Feet -126 FGM-335 FGA (37.6%)
-------------------------------------------------
167-438 (38.1%)
thats slightly below league average but definitely better than it was.

Seeding isn't set but in terms of potential opponents, Houston and OKC are the toughest outs en route to the Finals. OKC can obviously make quick work of the Spurs if things go their way, and Houston could easily get hot enough to take them out.
i think it's gonna be a of a lot harder than last year
