One thing thunderfans got right were how classless a lot of spurfans are around here. Might be the lack of moderators, though. But still...

It's a discussion forum for basketball fans on the Internet.
The Internet.
Let's all let that sink in for a minute.
Just because it's the internet, people should be given free reign to be ignorant jerks? That's cool for, like YouTube comments, but this is a message forum, and a basketball forum to boot. There are rules in place for a reason.
Again, I'll attribute the nasty remarks to the lack of mods, but it says a lot about the character of SF.
On the real, anyone that thinks Westbrook is better than Parker is re ed.
Yes, they should, and because it is the Internet, where there isn't a lot of accountability for one's words, nobody should be all that surprised or bent out of shape when a handful of people say some ty things over what amounts to nothing more than a game played by a group of millionaires. Obviously there's a difference in what users around here will tolerate, and for the most part we all partake in a reasonably civil discussion re: basketball. The board moderates itself in that regard, and a few outliers here and there shouldn't speak on behalf of everyone.
It speaks to character on an individual level and nothing more. Nothing that gets said by anyone here reflects on me as a Spurs fan or a contributor, and as such I don't get upset when others attempt to defile the name of Spurstalk. It doesn't affect me enough, and as I said above, the board moderates itself enough for my comfort level.
If you want to go to a place where fairies run free and sprinkle gold dust around you, where the comments coming out of people's mouths are sweet nothings, where they poop flowers and fart perfume, then you go spursreport... not here. The exit's that way. --->
