Ties most points this season in less than 30 min without taking a free throw (Ryan Anderson and Aaron Brooks the other two to do it this season)
deserves it's own thread. that's in alpha. durant's over here every game 31 points and 11 of them are from the line. it's weak.
check out leonard tonight scoring 26, ALL FROM THE FIELD.

Kind of shows that Kawhi needs to work on his attacking ability, particular finishing layups in traffic. That's really the last step before he becomes a lethal offensive player.
He can shoot from mid-range in either spot-up or off-the-dribble situations, he's an amazing post-player for his size, he can hit threes off the catch, he's displayed the ability to hit floaters, his transition game is nothing short of astounding on both ends, he's great at put-backs and he can find an open teammate while in mid-air.
If he can use is legnth to consistently drive and finish contested layups, we're looking at a 16-22 points per game scorer.
The best part about this is how Kawhi's offensive talents are the last reason why he's so valuable to the Spurs. If he's not scoring, you can be damn sure he's playing terrific defense/deflecting passes/attacking the glass.
MVP, he's been the best Spur for some time now.
with those hands, his handles can only get better. like I said in some other thread a year ago, dude is special.
He was insane tonight. 90% shooting

Beautiful how only one of those shots were from 3. Usually players who weren't expected score 20-30+ points did it by hitting a illion threes (Austin Daye against Philly, JR today.)
he matches the length of the thunder
I still think someday he'll win an MVP award for SA, I know it's a bold prediction, but I do believe in sometime around 2020, he will win an MVP award.
This is a much, much too high expectation. Kawhi won't be a genuine MVP candidate in his career, but there's not exactly any shame in that.
At the end of the day, MVP is an offence award. DPoY is most definitely a realistic target for him one day though, although it's tough for a wing player to win it.
And people try to insult our front office like it's not the best in the business![]()
DPOY is very hard but given his finals performance (reputation matters as we all know) and how well he's played despite missing a quarter of the season, I think he's a shoe-in for 2nd team All Defensive.
This tbh..
it helps that his shot selection is fundamentally sound and that he is impossible to contest in transition. That's basically why he gets little to no ft.
he was killing the thunder in the 4th quarter. i don't know why he isn't used more on offense instead of parker just dribbling the air from the ball.
Zero free throws is not a positive thing. Kawhi looked amazing against the Thunder, but to become a consistently efficient scorer in this league you have to get easy points at the foul line. He will get there.
He scored 26 points on 14 possessions (13 FGA and 1 TO). That's crazy efficient regardless of number of FTA.
Free throws are only good insofar as they are more efficient than normal shots. That and the foul trouble potential. Also, if Kawhi can develop into a deadly midrange shooter it opens up all sorts of other possibilities for the offense.

love those clips spurraider, and it's crazy to see all of kawhi's silky j's in a row like that.
Free throws are almost entirely determined by your reputation with the refs. There are very few "obvious" fouls in any given game. Most free throws are awarded on minimal contact.
I'm not so sure about that. Imagine trying to dribble a tennis ball. Granted that's an extreme example but the point is larger hands does not always = better handles. There's some optimal range and the best ball handlers in the league have smaller hands than kawhi.
