Probably not until late Wednesday night when all the matchups are known. The Dallas-Memphis game on Wednesday is one game that will have implications for the Spurs.
Can't wait - GO SPURS GO

Yeah, they wait for all of the matchups to be set. Sundays are their showcases, so we'll probably get Saturday.![]()
haha I'm hoping for saturday so I can go to the game! Since it's the spurs it feels like they can already set us for the non-marquee timeslot already
If it's Saturday I hope it's not one of the early games since I work until 3 that day.
We'll get the tiest time slot possible. Don't be surprised AT ALL if it isn't the Saturday nooner.
Are you guys positive the first game will be on the weekend ? I would like to go ahead and buy tickets if that is a given.. Thanks.
Nothing is certain. If the money is important, I'd wait until they announced the schedule. It's easy to re-sell tickets for the later rounds, and even make money. Not so much in the first round.
Saturday seems more likely to me, given we are a #8 vs. #1 matchup which should be a route. Of course that logic would not apply to a Heat or even OKC series. One would think that a venerable Spurs time trying to defeat father time and with a rare chance at redemption would be a great story. Nah, Durant trying to get his first ring vs. a Lebron 3-peat I am sure will be the angle NBA emphasizes
Every team plays on the first weekend...so yes, game 1 will be saturday or sunday. They do 4 games each day.
Vs Memphis it was noon sunday
vs the jazz it was noon sunday
vs the lakers it was Sunday afternoon
lets keep in mind, almost every east matchup in round one will be a snoozer so 3 of the west games will probably be on Sunday
It's a wierd playoff year without LAL, Knicks, or Celtics. You could always pencil in the Knicks/Celtics for an early slot on Saturday and the Lakers for the 2:30/3:00 slot on Sunday afternoon. With Miami playing Atlanta, I don't really know that the Heat will get the prime Sunday slot either. I think the best bets are LAC/GST or BRK/CHI it either of those happen. If the West has an OKC/DAL matchup, that might also appeal to ABC/ESPN and be in the running for a prime time on the opening weekend.
I just hope the Spurs don't get the early slot on Sunday, since a lot of San Antonians will choose Easter celebrations over Round 1, Game 1.
Sunday noon if we're going by history.
^ this, tbh![]()
Those noon starts just suck. I'd be happy with anything either day that didn't start at noon.
sunday at noon just like always.
What's strange is that three of the current four Western hosts are in central time. It will be interesting to see which of those teams get a 9-9:30 start.
I can't wait for playoffs to start![]()
"Game 1 will be ready when it's ready"
When was the last time the Spurs clinched home court throughout the playoffs? They almost did it in 2011 and 2012 but got edged out by Chicago both times.
Edit: it was 2003
Sunday noon no question
I hate that. I have the same deal. I always seem to miss game 1.
