His whole family was watching. Now, I like Danny Green a lot. We grew up in the same area, and I too am a redbone, although my lips are not as big as his, and for me the only good snake is a dead snake. But some of the moves Danny made last night were uncharacteristic for him, especially around the basket. Trust me, it's no coincidence that he had his career scoring night last night. I remember when we played the Knicks in NY he went off. He's from Long Island, when he has extra scrutiny from family/friends he gets HOT!

Lol, AFAIK, the two Greens don't consider themselves family. They only share three percent of their DNA. I think Danny cares about one-upping Lawson or Lebron than he does Gerald.
Thanks.
Yeah, that pretty much backs up what I thought. I mean, they consider each other family, since they're related to each other and all, but they aren't really close. I don't either really cares if they outplay the other.
really care versus hey that's cool and like to have a bit of compe ion. I would lean towards the later doesn't mean it isn't a motivator.
What does you resembling Danny Green have anything to do with his performance last night?
LOL it's me out there, dropping those three's.
Those were definitely not the same thing.
Googoo ga-goo, googoo ga-goo
Yeah, they pretty much are. I just meant the phrase, "consider themselves family", differently. In the first case, I mean that they are close, do things together, make a biggish deal about it, etc. In the second case, I meant that they merely acknowledge their shared blood. I clarified that in the rest of the sentence, but you edited it out to be intellectually dishonest.
It's clear the Greens know they are related, because we know that, and we'd have to get it from somewhere. But if after a decade of knowing they were cousins, all they do is "cheer for the other from afar", I wouldn't say the family aspect matters to them all that much, which was the point of my first post. I certainly doubt Danny and Gerald were fighting for the hearts and minds of the Green family, like the OP suggested.
Actually, if you read the article, they talk frequently, and the older Gerald asks advice from the younger Danny about teamwork and the Spurs culture, what it's like to be coached by Pop, etc. They're not like brothers, but they certainly do more than "cheer for each other from afar".
Yes, I read the article. It's full of pla udes from one to the other. They act like acquaintances, maybe even decent friends. But they don't act like family in the sense I meant it. They certainly don't seem to have a family rivalry.
