Why doesn't Manu get to play in this game.
David Robinson
Robert Horry
Kawahi Leonard
Sean ******
Tony Parker
Tiago Splitter
Tim Duncan
George Gervin
Vinnie Del Negro
Avery Johnson
I would say consider everyone as how they were on their best year as a spur. sorry just trying to make this last week go by fast
Why doesn't Manu get to play in this game.
Probably coming off the bench
Who else is going to warm Vinnie's seat?
I think putting him in either team would automatically make them win. 2005 manu was too beast
Team A. They're dangerous from every position, whereas Team B would have to be carried by Timmy and Gervin.
Holy , the amount of destruction that David Robinson would do to Tiago. Possible jail time after and .
Team A is full of versatile players, while team B has 3 one dimensional players. I would still go with Team B because TD and Iceman would be a lethal one two punch.
i would imagine team A would assign Robinson to guard Duncan with Horry checking splitter
Spurs beat the Spurs last year, tbh.
Robinson in his prime < Duncan in his prime
I, myself, am not sure whether this is true..
Team B only if they didn't have Del Negro & Avery. That's 2000-2002 all over again. Heck even if you replace Tiago with Hakeem, i'll still take Team A.
What if it was Sean Marks and not Sean ******??? lol
I'd go with team A tbh. Parker and Sean would just destroy Johnson and negro while David, Kawhi and horry would put a good fight. Spacing would also be in favor of team A.
It is not true.
Team B.
As much as I appreciate Robinson and Leonard...Duncan and Ice could score on anyone.
People don't remember how dominant Ice was offensively, every team put their best defender on him, and Gervin still took them all night long.
Having said that, I still give props to today's game and players like Leonard, Iguodala, Tony Allen. The overall defensive intensity of the game is much higher now, the team defense wasn't nearly as sophisticated, and the greater athleticism of today's game is most noticeable on the defensive side.
But Ice would kill these guys.
Leonard is capable of doing decent job on dudes like durant and lbj... I'm sure he wouldn't be ridiculous against ice, now negro and johnson would take a bath against parker, sean
Team A, and it's not close.
Their length and speed would utterly shut down the other team. AJ doesn't have the range to spread the defense - Del Negro doesn't have the quicks. Prime Robinson would have either the entire front court in foul trouble (Duncan's a good defender, but stopping prime Admiral without racking up fouls was nearly impossible) - they would HAVE to double. Sean. Kawhi & Horry would rain on them. Parker also doesn't have to think before he is in the teeth of the defense, everyone's collapsing; all goes to - not to mention Ninja's first step vs. Ice's defense? Please.
Team A - it's not close.
Different players. If DRob was drafted today, I suspect he would be the world's most brutal Center/SF combo - Center on D, SF/slasher on O. He was a lot more of a face the basket player than Duncan and had the speed and hops to score inside.
On that team, Gervin on D is the weak link - they just didn't play D at the level of the current NBA - not saying he couldn't, but they didn't. For those who didn't get to see Gervin, think Durant with finger rolls![]()
Because that would skew the question. Manu would help the other team win, obviously.
Completely untrue. Duncan was never as good as peak David...
