Dallas
Memphis
Phoenix
In that order. Dallas plays no defense whatsoever. Leonard and Green will be able to guard Ellis and whoever else. Spurs can do a solid job on Dirk with our personnel .Dejuan Blair..... Lol
2-1. OKC had won 11 straight over Dallas until losing to them twice in March.
Those games have to be taken with a grain a salt. The first game was the front end of a B2B and OKC played without Westbrook, Sefalosha, and Perkins. The second game was the back end of a B2B without Sefalosha and Perkins.
I'd rather see the Spurs play Dallas and OKC play Memphis. Both series will be short, but Dallas will put up less resistance than Memphis in a series with the Spurs.
Dallas

the spurs would cruise by any of these teams. i'd rather play dallas in the first round and let OKC tango with memphis
Rather play Dallas cause Memphis will be harder on our bigs, but Dallas matches up better with OKC and miiight be able to push that series to 6 games. Likely only 5 though. I think OKC would sweep Memphis.
I think Dallas would rather play OKC. We've beaten Dallas like the last 2 years, yet Dallas has beaten OKC twice this year.
i guess the best scenario would be to get the grizz and give okc dal or phx. that's what i'm hoping happens if possible.
So how does Portland jump Houston?
Portland has to win its remaining game and Houston has to lose its remaining 2 games?
That's what it looks like. Though Blazers play in LA (Clippers) their last game and we don't know what Pop will do tonight vs Rockets. Rockets won the season series 3-1

Grizzlies win would clinch playoff spot, and eliminate Suns from list of potential first-round foes for the Spurs. ...

In that case, Spurs' first-round opponent would be decided head-to-head in the final game of the season between Memphis and Dallas.

If Suns beat Grizzlies tonight, Suns stay alive. If GSW also beats Minnesota, Dallas clinches No. 7 seed, avoids first-round date w/Spurs.
Clips are locked into 3 so its a winnable game for sure for Portland. LAC might not dress people.
Rockets have us and NOP. I don't see them losing both even if the Spurs were to somehow pull it out tonight. I don't expect the Spurs to win though.
1 SAS
8 MEM
SAS in 4. 5 or 6 if they get unlucky
2 OKC
7 DAL
OKC in 6. Probably will be the West's best R1 series.
3 LAC
6 GSW
LAC in 7.
4 HOU
5 POR
HOU in 6.
1 IND
8 ATL
LMAO... IND in 4.
2 MIA
7 CHA
MIA in 4
3 TOR
6 WSH
TOR in 6. Has the potential to be the East's best R1 series.
4 CHI
5 BKN
CHI in 6.
So...
Memphis wins their last 2 games = Spurs get Dallas
Memphis splits their last 2 games = Spurs get Memphis
Memphis loses their last 2 games = Spurs get Phoenix (assuming Phoenix beats SAC)
I thought the Clips were locked into the 3, but they kept saying during yesterdays OKC/Pacer game that OKC was trying to hold on to the #2 spot with the Clippers right there. But yea I don't see OKC losing out which is what would have to happen I think.
Rockets/Blazers will be an interesting matchup
The most probable scenario is Suns beating Grizzlies tonite, followed by Grizzlies beating already clinched Mavs in a must-win game Wednesday...that leaves Dallas in 7th and Memphis in 8th
In theory all of the top 7 seeds could be locked up (in order) by the close of business tonight:
Spurs are locked in at #1.
OKC clinches #2 (and LAC clinches #3) if the Thunder win in New Orleans.
Houston clinches #4 (and Portland clinches #5) if the Rockets win tonight over the Spurs.
Golden State clinches #6 with a home win tonight against Minnesota.
Dallas clinches #7 if the Suns beat the Grizzlies tonight in Phoenix.
I want OKC to go through Memphis. I expect both teams beat the Grizz, but it would be much easier for the Spurs than Thunder
So Spurs are finishing 2nd in the conference? Dallas owns all tiebreakers with Phoenix and Memphis.
If Memphis wins their last 2 remaining games they are 7 and Dallas is 8. It's possible.
I want Dallas because no they play no D but also to stick to Cuban and Mavs one more time. I still haven't gotten over 2006-- that was almost as bad as last year.
(1) Spurs vs (8) Memphis
(2) Thunder vs (7) Mavericks
(3) Clippers vs (6) Warriors
(4) Portland vs (5) Houston
All Memphis has to do is beat Dallas at home who will be resting all of their starters. It's done.
Well if Golden State loses tonight to Minnesota than Dallas could still technically move to 6 which could give them an incentive to not rest against Memphis.
and you need to flip Houston and Portland. Houston will get 4.
edit: WHat am i thinking. that's right.
