You just need to get over it and realize that it's just a ball game. Besides, Manu has done so much for this franchise and it's safe to say that we don't have the les we did without him. Manu could have been a star post-2005. His stats in 05 pretty much show he was the best SG in the game. Averaging the same as D-Wade on MUCH higher efficiency. But instead he kept the sixth man role and helped us win another le.

Yeah I know he was arguably the best sg in 05.


I appreciate Manu tbh. That said, this doesn't preclude him from the necessary criticism he deserves. You obviously have a soft spot for Manu, no shame in admitting it tbh.

Back in the day, we had to add your les in manually ourselves. To keep track of the ones that we had done, we bolded people. That's it. It was just a recordkeeping tool.

After the forum changed where users could put in your own les, then we stopped bolding people. We do it every once in a while when people whine a lot about it.

It's not a sign of coolness or prestige.

Also, If we want the forum to grow to what it once was then we have to stop being very petty imo. We've resorted to using trolls instead of flat-out going hard using real usernames. I'm not gonna say that I'm not guilty of these offenses because I once made trolls** and borrowed trolls* from some posters but if we want the forum to grow again then the mindset should be more mature

I don't own any trolls. I also don't really involve myself with the battles that go on. It is amusing to watch at times but if you want to have a serious discussion, I can see how it is a distraction. It is, however, pretty much entertainment and it is worth checking in on a daily basis.

I had no idea of its significance till much... much after it happened. The difference is that this board has really gone down since then, which is why it is seen as being cool. New posters are more interested in trolling and one liners than a thoughtful analysis. Since the older members are usually the ones bolded it makes it much easier to read through threads and take certain people seriously. It also preserves a pre 2010 spurstalk somewhere in our minds.

There are people that have been here a very long time, make great posts that are the exception though. Rogue, Shadowflames, HI-FI (not anymore since he just got bolded) but they make themselves known. So in summary, looking at bolding as being cool now is kind of lame, but it does serve a purpose. I'm also not going to pretend like I exert influence on who gets bolded or not, but shadowflames and rogue should definitely get it since they've been here a while and add value with their posts.
