Just thought id share a mildly interesting story I witnessed about an hour ago.
So some dude was getting arrested on campus I guess. There was a squad car parked and the cop was just talking to the dude. A couple of other squad cars pull up and they cuff the guy. 4 cops in all. There was no resistance, they didn't put him on the ground, didn't punch/kick him or anything. They just leaned him over the hood and cuffed him. The guy wasn't yelling, struggling anything.
Typically when this stuff happens on campus everyone in the area stops and watches. I just laughed and told the dude next to me "well I haven't seen one of these in awhile." The guy isn't laughing, just says "that's excessive, don't you think? FOUR of them?" I just say not really, they didn't harm anyone, they just cuffed him. Now if they were all beating/kicking him id agree. So the got turns and says "the ? You have really high standards for excessive. Where u from, Syria?" And he just walked away. I start laughing, could have just dropped it but being the Philo I am, I shout "how the it excessive if there was no force?" shouts back "yeah bro just always trust the police. Nice."
I woulda kept jawing off but I was already late for class. I can't stand the people on this campus that get all their political news/views from the Colbert report. Pussified liberal campus. I don't even identify myself as conservative, but ucla liberals can seriously be gots

Why are people getting arrested on your campus? Can't think of one time I ever saw anyone getting arrested on campus itself (not counting outside the dorms, or DWI's).

LOL, I had a friend at UCLA who got busted shoplifting a couple of shot glasses at Ackerman and then he complained to me about the cops detaining him and talking to him like a 12 year-old. I told him to quit acting like a 12 year-old boosting , and couldn't convince him that cops aren't supposed to talk to you with respect when you commit a crime.

I remember once I was at my condo in Breck when some guy was getting harassed at the slopes by some cops. I thought it was funny, because the affluent don't get harassed, we own the cops tbqfh. I just walked over, kicked the guy in the nuts (he was handcuffed already), the cops high fived me, then me and the two Playboy centerfolds I was with peeled out of there in my Audi.

yes i'm sure it was a republican student at UCLA that saw cops simply handcuffing a guy and called it excessive force.
