Is not the end of the world I just want the damn game start right now.
A total of 7 times in the Duncan era:
1999, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011...
They ended up only losing two of those 7 series.
Just a reminder that losing one game at home isn't the end of the world, especially on the first round...
Is not the end of the world I just want the damn game start right now.
Unfortunately, both those series losses happen to be the last two times they dropped one of the first two at home...![]()
we also had one of the big 3 hurt going into the series, tbh...
The sweep is on.
I am going to regrettably miss this game due to it being so early on. Ugh
we will beat Dallas ... no sweat
I think Dallas might get gm 2. This will go 6gms
Then again it happened during each of the championship runs as well...
Game 1 in 2011 was a noon start. Losing was bad enough. Exiting the arena into bright sunshine somehow made it worse.
After so much has been made of HCA, to lose it in the first game would be a real bummer, but I remember most of those games when we lost, and it always seemed that it was the very first game.
We will lose games during the playoffs, and there will be meltdowns in here whenever and however it happens.
Spurs have also not won a le in years where they haven't lost the first game of the playoffs. So there's that![]()
You also need to be prepared for the FT parade. In game one of the 2003 and 2006 series, in SA, Dallas shot a combined 99 ing FTs. That's not a typo.
HCA is for the WCF and the Finals. It shouldn't matter against 1st and 2nd round opponents.
They lost the last two series wherein they lost one of the first two playoff games at home.
Anyone know the referee assignments? JOE-Y! JOE-Y!
We dropped game two to GS and took them in six last year.
OP is talking about the First round. God damn before you come at me make sure you read the OP post
Are you a special child who needs everything to be spelled out for you to understand?
ElNono was talking on the context of the past Spurs first round series, and my reply was about that.
If you didn't understand that from the onset, then log out and study until you learn context clues.
That's what Robz said in post #3...
Incorrect, see OP and:
Game 2 @ Alamodome, San Antonio (May 11): Minnesota 80, San Antonio 71
Spurs won that series 3-1...
Yeah I saw it man. I wanted to delete the post but apparently you could only delete your posts in the NBA Forum.
Yeah my badNono's op threw me off
I shoulda said Spurs have never not won a le in a year where they didn't split lose one of the first two games at home of the playoffs
