Disagree with Phil but it's hard for me to criticize him when Pop has had his share of playoff mishaps. Getting outcoached by Avery Johnson when you had prime TD/prime Manu and homecourt advantage is pretty damn embarrassing. Gave the le away to Miami last year too.
Phillip needs to realize that artificial hips have a shelf life, and eating Ben and Jerry's out of business won't help that longevity.
Sam Presti, Doc Rivers, Avery Johnson, Danny Ferry. All have had much more successful careers post Pop

He wouldn't have lost to Avery Johnson with homecourt and prime TD/prime Manu. He also wouldn't have choked away that championship to Miami last year by sitting Tim.

Phil Jackson is a poor sport. He is the poorest sport I have ever seen in a coaching level.
He is also petty and arrogant. His good fortune with coaching the highest caliber stars of his eras does not make him a decent human being.
He is a very small, very mean (indicating small) charactered man.
Next to the definition of low-class in the dictionary is a picture of Phil Jackson.
I would like to see him coach a team built from scratch and lead them to a ship, instead of inheriting superstars or having the luxury of ring chasers coming to him.

In the end all "dynasty" is, is a word that a small amount of people decided the definition of for basketball terms. That wasn't voted on. So there is no defined description for it. The Rockets won b2b, but sure as weren't a dynasty.
Spurs taking 4 les in 9 years and 3 in 5 plus staying a major threat for the vast majority of 18 years = dynasty imo. Jackson is just taking the one thing he has over Pop and saying it's a requirement. No doubt if SA went b2b he'd say they had to 3peat.

You are fully correct, they could have won 5 in a row then, were in deep contention then.. After that NO. What happened after was just icing on the cake. They were dynasty for those years though, after that no.
The Lakers were the luckiest team in NBA history. 2000 was their only legit championship with Kobe and Shaq. 2001 Duncan injured, and 2002 Derek Anderson injured and they need the refs to literally cheat to beat Sacramento. Spurs or Sacramento should've won in 2002 no doubt, but the Luckers got lucky.

He's right technically Kanye lover. Spurs are a great team, but have been unable to win back to back in order to be called a dynasty. Most dont even refer to that Lakers team as a dynasty. The word is grossly overused now a days anyway
