Pop didn't use the "soft" card after all. Just mentioned the turnovers and lack of d at the other end.
Point taken.

There's a quote in my reply where the poster specified about losing game 1 or 2 at home in a series. What else would I have been referring to? You obviously didn't read the quote I replied to. Name me another home losses in the Duncan era that they lost this badly in game 1 or 2 at home of the playoffs (There may have been one or two, but I don't recall them. Can't remember the score of game 2 last season against the Warriors). They didn't even lose this badly in 2001 (at home) without Derek Anderson against that great 2001 Lakers team that steamrolled through the playoffs.
Don't tell me that this doesn't mean anything. The Spurs have come out and said "hey, we're soft and weak". That's what the Spurs showed out there. Dallas has actually won a Championship and they have a Championship level coach, that can, and will make adjustments. This will be harder than the Warriors series last year IMO.
Barkley is about to on the Spurs...
Rightfully so. They are proving him right so far.
Yeah, and that's why I'm about to listen to it.
Maybe Pop should Google, "How to beat switching defenses" it might help in game 3
Barkely defends Dwight. That's all that needs to be said![]()
He's got 19 first half points, tonight so Chuck's illiterate ass is looking smart right about now.
I like Portland and will be going for them in this series. I don't give a what Barkley thinks these days. Damien Lillard is a really good player. He won me over in game 1 of that series. I thought he was a bit of a chucker during the regular season and last season too, but he proved in his first ever playoff game that he is a baller. Aldridge was incredible too.
WE STAAAAAAAKKKKKKEEEEEDDDD
SPURS LOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEE![]()

It has a lot of sense they are not in RS anymore this is the time to give the best or go fishing and they play like dinosaurs, 1 week off well rested and this geriatric comes alive its real sad. No balls no more unfinished business this is so Autistic that I want to watch Rain man.
Well, if it's going to help you put all this together in your head, let's go back to 2006 when the Spurs got obliterated by 22 points in Game 2 at home against the Mavericks. Duncan played in that series, and the Spurs lost in 7 games to a team that matched up really well with them. What would your point be? That the last time the Spurs lost by this much at home to a playoff team, they lost the series? Does that statistic really mean anything to you now, in 2014? By the way, the Spurs lost Game 2 to the Dubs last year by 9 points after narrowly winning Game 1. They won that series in 6 games, does that blow a hole in the logic coming from the 2006 series now? Or are we still in 2014?
If you want to bemoan the opponent's credentials in the wake of a pathetic home loss, go ahead. Last I checked, Carlisle's Mavericks haven't done since 2011 and no playoff series has ever determined a winner after the road team ties everything up at 1-1. Nobody in the Mavs locker room is seriously going to look at the Spurs and shrug them off after two games as weak. You want to laud Carlisle, laud him for not being the kind of idiot who would look at a 1-1 road split against the defending Western champs and a team he's beaten once in ten tries and think "oh, we've got this." Nothing is final until someone wins 4 games. The Mavs have played awfully well. The Spurs haven't yet. If they don't, then they lose and Dallas rightfully takes the series. If they do, Dallas is toast. Period. Neither of those outcomes will be determined by how badly the Spurs got washed tonight. How each team plays from Game 3 onward will decide that.

like i said, the spurs are in for another playoff meltdown. it may not happen this series, but y'all are not winning this year. your team has been exposed for relying on gimmicky role players. i can't wait till you gots flame out.
Well thats like... your opinion man.
After assigning Spurs nemesis Joey Crawford to officiate Game 1, the league had Danny Crawford on hand for Game 2 to the chagrin of the Mavericks' fans. But just as in the opener, both officials reserved most calls and non-calls for the opposition. Crawford's lack of calls led Popovich to scream at Crawford throughout the first half.![]()
spurs! lose! sp sp spurs lose!![]()
The bucks...![]()
How about when you losers had Brandon Jennings and he guaranteed you would beat the Heat?![]()
oh look a team smack response. haven't heard that before. at least we didn't choke a championship.![]()
It was a downright pathetic performance and if they come out with more of these, they won't win. I didn't say that the Spurs would keep playing like this or that they would definitely lose the series for sure, I'm just emphasizing that they can lose to this team as opposed to the people that said the Spurs will win in 4-5 games before this series started. It's not going to be anywhere near as easy as a quite a few posters here thought it would be.
4 rings and another one we hand-gifted away. Your loser team isn't even deem fit to polish a 3 point shooting compe ion trophy let alone get near a Championship game. Keep being the NBA's toilet paper.
