I don't like Sterling for a lot of reasons nor will condone racism being a minority myself, but I almost feel bad for the guy now. He's getting so much heat for a private conversation with his broad. What he said BTW has no impact with how he handles the well being of Clippers and it's employees.
If you want to put a hefty fine on him, put an unprecedented amount to set an example and appease the media and move on. But to force him to sell his team over a private and quite honestly a petty issue to which he was obviously baited in btw is laughable.
Sterling has owned the team since the 80's, where the foundation of equality is not as strong now, I'm pretty sure him and most of these owners threw racists remarks over the years, but remarkably they were all able to expand the brand and created a lot more opportunities for minorities. The bottomline has grown exponentially for everyone involved without anyone being hurt or abused in the process.
So are we just going to sanction him now over an ignorant but harmless comment?

I have far more important things to worry about than to worry about pieces of like most of you guys. America is a joke when it comes to race and racism. We view racism as worse than murder and rape.

Sponsors have already pulled out of the Clippers. Kia, Statefarm, Carmax and Virgin America for starters. Imagine the repercussions going forward should he remain as the owner.
Clippers are mainstream now. 10 years ago they could afford to sweep everything under the rug and no one would care. But they matter now, in terms of everything basketball.

I do agree he needs to step down but there are certain things us Clipper fans have known through the years and that is DTS is as stubborn as it gets. He never sold the Clippers for profit so he's not going to sell it now for principle.
The funny thing about all this is how tame these comments are in comparison to DTS in his prime
So while Sterling is a racist he sure does put equality above his personal feelings when it comes to business matter. All Im saying is people shouldn't be too quick to call for his head in light of these recent comments. Where is the discrimination? Did he tell Chris Paul that he can't play for the Clippers because he is black? Is it possible to be a racist prick without discriminating against anyone? American society has been pussified so bad where we want to crucify racists while we victimize murderers and rapists. You get called a name and everyone is there for you. People get shot in Chicago and people starve in Detroit yet no one gives a . Where are all the racial equality champions on that? Why don't they about the black on black gun violence in Chicago or the hole that is Detroit?
