Or just look at this first round playoff series compared to the regular season.
BANG, agreed. 1 seed out East, 2nd seed out West struggling bigtime and our beloved Spurs tied 2-2 with the Mavs who they have owned for years now. This is the truth.

Don't forget Durant got to dribble around for like 5 minutes.
Watched it again and the clock started at 2.9 seconds - you have to watch the clock on the basket and not the one at the bottom of the screen as they're not perfectly synced (somehow). I thought it started 0.3 too late when looking at the bottom but seemed okay to 0.1 late (normal for human reaction) based on the official clock.

Still a very fast catch and release of 0.4 to 0.5 seconds despite taking a jump stop, which only Steph Curry pulls off regularly.

Does Scott Brooks get fired if Memphis wins the series?
Absolutely. Brooks, Jackson, and Vogel are likely all out of a job. Anyone that Starts Perkins over Collision isn't the greatest coach to begin with. Perk is such a drag on offense even though he is playing with the most potient big 3 in the league.

I know. Why the would you fire a guy that literally rose the Warriors from the ashes and made them a rising power in the west? Kind of reminds me of the Grizz not bringing back Hollins. This is what I hate about the NBA. They give up on coaches way too quickly.

I personally wouldn't fire Vogel. Most of the blame for the Pacers' woes this season can be traced back to Bird's now bone-headed moves.

great game! OKC, Portland and Dallas are the 3 worst match ups for the Spurs IMHO. I hope Memphis, eliminates OKC, I don't think we can beat all 3 of them. and yes, I hope OKC keeps Brooks him and Jasckson are the two worst coaches in western conf. Vogel on the other hand is a pretty good coach.

Our two worst matchups are a game away from elimination. Close this series in 6, Spurs.
We won't last very long against Portland if Parker continues to play like one of the worst PGs in the leagye. Frenchie needs to step up.

Bird certainly didn't help Vogel out. Some of it may also be the system and how he uses some players. Hill was a very good player but has progressive gotten worse. His confidence has apparently dropped playing out of position for so long. He is a combo guard not a pure point. They'd be better off sliding Watson in and have Hill either come off the bench in place of Watson and Stephenson or move Stephenson to the bench for a bench spark.

Augustine was a pretty bad in Indiana but for a similar defensive first team in Chicago he has been very solid.

Hill would be much better as a 6th man coming in for Stephenson. Could actually be a deadly 2-guard rotation there. Pacers need to draft some pure point guards in the offseason. Maybe a center too?

Still think OKC wins in 7. Memphis better win this next game cause they're not winning a game 7 on the road imo.

If they both bow out and we do too, the playoffs are over IMO.. No need to even watch anymore because we all know who will win it all.

Not against that team with the REFS! NO! I agree.

This isn't a fluke. Memphis has excellent individual defenders to stay in front of Westbrook and Durant. And it's not like OKC runs any offense it's just get Durant and Wesbrook the ball and break their man off the dribble.

They don't have a 1st rounder this season. They also have $65 million committed to 10 players (cap is supposed to be about $63 million). Scola/ Hibbert/ Hill all could be on the trading block IMO. Hill is probably the toughest to move (he has $24 million left for 3 years). I've never like Mahinmi and Bynum isn't likely to return.

Both Stephenson and Turner are free agents. I'd assume they'd keep Stephenson though. They need a PG, A Center and a offensive spark (like Mills or Robinson off the bench)

I was stunned OKC lost at home in Game 5. They've lost 2 of their last 3 games at home to Memphis. Perkins continues to drag down their offense but is needed for defense on ZBO. Lee and especially Allen have virtually shut down both Westbrook and Durant.

Memphis needs to tighten up their crunch time execution (especially the fouling on jumpshots) but they have a very good chance to close out.

Grizzlies looking like the 2004 Pistons in their run here. Not much offense but a ton of great defense.

Lamarcus Alderidge putting up these monster numbers vs Houston is good for us. If we make it out of the first round.. chances are he won't be able to repeat his first round performance against us. I'm happy Houston is tiring him out. However we still have to figure out how to finish off Dallas first....

Tbh I don't know why you'd think Alridge going beast mode is anything good for us if we advance. Dwight Howard is way better than any center we have to dominate defense, and if he's walking all over Houston's bigs then we're plenty ed.

Not like Alridge is old or anything, he won't be tired out at all...

Most of Aldridge's damage has been against Terrence Jones, tbh..Howard and Asik have done a good job against him the past 2 games since McHale finally adjusted, and neither is more mobile at defending perimeter bigs than Splitter IMO..

Aldridge still owns the Spurs, though, regardless..if the Spurs advance, which isn't a given, he'll be a matchup nightmare, as he always is against the Spurs..

IF (and that's a big if) spurs go to the WCF I'm not sure Memphis would be such a good thing

Last year game plan was to focus on Gasol and ZBO while letting wide open Prince and Allen. And that's why spurs swept them.
Now with Courtney Lee and Mike Miller that's no longer an option

Memphis could win it all this year IMO. They are built for the playoff

Spurs need all the luck they can get because they wouldn't have beaten either OK City or Houston.
