Great question TBH..I really haven't said anything about this new "trend" until today when someone started a second game thread for no damn reason. Ultimately, it doesn't matter at the end of the day.

Plus, I already assigned No Lyfe Scrub to this role and I have a HR nightmare on my hands now.

I don't care who starts game threads. It's not about you. Ultimately, I was half joking, half annoyed, half trying to motivate posters to step their games up (wait, 3 halves?).
It's more about arguing about it, starting multiple game threads (not you, in general) and rushing to do it. Only a few people have cool GT starting abilities and outside of that it just gets silly and every once in a while Uncle DPG gets cranky and slaps some heads.
DPG is the heart and soul of ST, do what he says imo.
