If the Lakers are planning on letting Kobe chase points records, Byron Scott would be perfect, tbh, he doesn't run an offensive system, it's just the star player dribbling..

Everyone knows Scott is Kobe's choice. LOL if the Lakers get bullied in their coaching search the same way they were with 48.5.

My list of potential coaches for the Lakers in no particular order.

Tom Thibodeau - Things may not be so "Rosie" right now in Chicago.
Lionel Hollins - Was great in Memphis and really fired for no reason.
Jeff Van Gundy - Good defensive coach.
Brian Shaw - Overachieved with injury ridden Nuggets team.
Derek Fisher - Total wild card. But I could see the Lakers giving him a chance.
John Calipari - Would he leave wildcats for the Lakers.

How many is that for Coach Killer Bryant? Probably like 7+ if you count him running Phil off a couple of times tbh

-Bulls aren't letting Thibs walk. he was forced to run his offense around ing Noah

-Hollins would be probably the worst possible fit for Kobe. not gna happen

-I think JVG is their best choice, but it's not like he's going to turn them around in 1-2 years. the roster has to be fixed first

-Shaw is too much an unknown to be given the gig. I also don't see why Denver would let him go

-Fisher would be a total Kobe choice . is it even a lock that he's retiring?

-Calipari would make a of a splash, but he'd clash with Kobe big time

Lionel Hollins - Was great in Memphis and really fired for no reason.
He was fired for shouting at GM John Hollinger in practice

The most important key in the Lakers coaching search is that the candidate should be someone who Kobe respects or else it's useless. He didn't respect Brown at all and he just probably lost all his respect for Mike D'Antoni. Shaw or Scott are the clear favorites because of this.

If the Lakers can pull off a miracle to hack Krzyzewski away from Duke then that's better

Great move by Big Mike, tbh..

Lakers have the worst roster in the Western Conference, there are very few coaches that could have done better with that embarrassing collection of players..I can't wait until the Lakers hire Byron Scott..
I'm hoping they talk Adelman out of retirement.

Adelman stopped giving a years ago, tbh, I don't think he's going to be find his passion by coaching 45-year old Nash, 40-year old Kobe, Swaggy P, Kent Bazemore and Kendall Marshall..
