On half a salary cap after Kobester the Teamster.Adelman stopped giving a years ago, tbh, I don't think he's going to be find his passion by coaching 45-year old Nash, 40-year old Kobe, Swaggy P, Kent Bazemore and Kendall Marshall..
Even though we had been making fun of three first names consistently the last couple of years, he really isn't as horrible a coach as advertised.
He will likely never win a championship, but that doesn't make him a bad coach. Don Nelson won a championship, Larry Brown never won a championship before Detroit, but they are still great coaches. Now three first names isn't close to as good a coach as those two, but he does have an amazing offensive system that changed the way the game was played today. He desperately needs to work on defensive plays, and he most definitely has to exhibit some leadership abilities, but that could be said about 2/3 of the league's head coaches.
Also, what head coach would want to go coach the Lakers now?
- Coach killer with backing from management? Check
- Horrible talent? Check
- Questionable future prospects? Check
- Management internal clashes? Check
It's pretty much the worst possible situation for a coach, which means that only untested/unwanted coaches would give it a shot.
The Lakers would be much better off pulling a young and upcoming coach like Boston did with Stevens. Somebody like Ollie or even D-Fish would be better choices than proven NBA losers like the above.
They need somebody to trick Kirb into thinking he's in charge while still being able to develop their younger players and try to establish a system for when after Cancer retires tbh.

He took all the ing money. If I was a coach, I wouldnt want to be embarassed with that team either. I would want a team with a snowballs chance, which is 100x more than what the Lakers have right now.
