Fire pop
Benching danny down the stretch for turnobili? Pop lost this game with that decision as far as im concerned....
Fire pop
pop not keeping danny on ellis allowed him to go off, which cost us the game for sure.
pop is a good coach, but he's also a dumbass sometimes.
I was wondering why Green didn't play more when he was obviously the best guard of the night.
Again, Pop is a great coach but he really hurts the team at times.
after we get bounced, this team needs an overhaul. this isnt working
That popsuckers thread by SBM sounds like a good bump right now
Maybe someone should remind Pop that this is the playoffs?
oh shut your mouth up
Pop is stubborn..
The same reason why he plays a 22 year old 29 minutes in the RS..For him it's about proving how good of a coach he is rather than developing players or winning playoff games.
Leonard is the one who should have been benched. He can't defend Ellis (neither can Ginobili, obviously), nor is he the three point shooter Green is . . . and as much as I hate to say it, Duncan should have been benched in favor of Splitter. I can understand him not doing the latter, but the former is inexcusable, as is playing Ayres a few minutes in the fourth quarter.
It's incredible how poor a job he's done in this series, yet as usual, he's facing no heat publicly, when if most coaches had done half the he has, they'd be getting ripped to shreds.
Agreed. I also thought playing Green AND Ginobili at the same time was the reason for the Mav's huge run in the 4th.
Blow up the entire team fire Pop fire RC trade everyone for anything you can get.
, fire Peter Holt!!!
Prime Duncan made Pop.. The Media has perpetrated the myth
I agree Duncan should have been benched. His timing for his shot-blocking wasn't on tonight, which means he's a defensive liability. Splitter played Ellis perfectly as is as big of a reason for Monta being held down for so long as Green was. However, I think that Leonard should have been in to play Carter. That's a matchup that works for him.
Pop is too arrogant, thinks he controls the game more than the players. If someone is playing well, keep them in. The awards and love from the media has gone to his head. His arrogance cost us tonight's game and cost us the championship last year.
It's absurd that you could watch the game tonight and not realize why Pop benched Duncan in Game Six last year.
lol Splitter had 19 points and didn't play down the stretch.. HAHAHA, that alone tells the story
Pop's simply thinking circa 2008.
Of course, Manu's been playing pretty great this series, and most of you guys are nibbling on the balls of hindsight, so...go yourselves? meh, that sounds about right.
Stephen Jackson: "Pop only cares about 3 guys"
Splitter was getting murdered on the pnr with Ellis. He had to be benched at the end. But maybe he could have played for Timmy if anything.
Even if Pop insists on keeping Ginobili out there, there's no way he should have been on Ellis when Green was in the game. I thought it was a mistake at first until they kept doing it.
Sad but slightly true.
Lol, what? Splitter was wrecking Ellis on the PnR. We're talking Noah-esque.
You mean Diaw was? Splitter played great in all aspects of the game, even free throw shooting.
