That place up there is exploding Of course it's because of the refs... blablabla

Actually, before the Spurs started to foul intentionally to stop the clock, they had an 28-16 advantage in FT's while playing IN Dallas. Hardly something to complain about. The last 8 Ft's for Dallas were all committed to stop the clock. Only because of that the final count (28-24 in favor of SA) looks closer than it really was.
Blaming the refs is such a cop-out excuse.

Turnobili was back. Pop was making stupid decisions again. We still nearly won despite the officiating. It's just another case of the Spurs choking leads. Thankfully, Game 7 is on our floor.

Come on man, we still nearly stole the game.

But I think we're ed in the 2nd round.
feel the same way. if Spurs can't beat this Mavs team at home, then they deserve whatever criticism comes there way.

But I think they'll skull the mavs. the bigger issue is the second round if we get there. Spurs seriously need to start adding youth and athleticism again, the big 3 just look sad at times. Which means Pop will keep throwing legacy contracts at them, Bonner too.

Sup mah Sportstudi? At least your Mavs have the balls to play big-time unlike those suckers who claim that they own North London

Yep. The Spurs needed to close this out tonight. Now, they won't get a break assuming they advance and have to face teams that rely on their starters playing heavy minutes and have younger legs.

The cliff-jumping upstairs is not as bad as I thought it would be. In fact, I'm more worried about Game Seven than most folks are. I don't know if the Big Three have another gear they can use anymore. Duncan was such a liability out there.

The difference for the Mavs in this series is Monta Have It All and Vince Carter, two of the most notorious playoff chokers, are making shots they usually don't make in a high-pressure playoff game. I don't know what Diggler and Carlisle did to these two but it's a effective. God damn, even Whatablair is making crucial plays he wouldn't even dream of if he was still in San Antonio.

Duncan a liability? What?.. anytime Duncan didn't have the ball Mav fans were sighing in relief.

Defensively. He doesn't even try to hedge anymore. He and Manu are completely responsible for Ellis' fourth quarter. Splitter and Green were destroying Ellis until Pop subbed Danny out four minutes into the third.

I'll never criticize Duncan but this is the first time I'm thinking he's getting too old. I felt this way in 2011 but he bounced back. I think Spurs can still fire on all cylinders at home, but we'll see after that.

Yeah, it makes no sense to me why Tiago got so little time in the 4th as well as Green (who hit all of his shots), when Green hits his shots, added with the defense he should be out their major minutes.

You should have realized he was old after the WCSF last year. As I said, there's a reason why Pop took him out during the end of regulation in Game Six. Depending on Duncan's level of pride, I can see him retiring really soon. He's just literally not the same player he used to be anymore, and it's becoming harder and harder to hide.

yeah that was evident. i know none of us are anywhere near pros, but we've all played basketball, and nobody ever falls like that .

it was well set up though, because earlier Dirk complained about a kawhi push-off, so the refs were probably looking to call it anyway

Vince was trying to kick Kawhi's knee? What else could explain his leg swinging that hard?

Leonard prickled Carter's eye his hand was too fast even the camera didn't capture it, but still failed to escape the refs eyes. Carter ain't a flopper tbh.

Seems obvious, but people will bring up his per36 numbers and talk about how he has turned back the clock and all that. The team makes a lot of sacrifices for Tim to get his numbers. Duncan only looks like the player he used to because Green, Leonard and Splitter protect him defensively. He can still have a HoF impact on a game, but he shouldn't be on the court during crunchtime against a PnR-heavy team like Dallas.
