Chuck Cooperstein used to be a good radio talk show guy here in Dallas before he became a shill for the Mavies as their P by P. guy. Gotta feed your family so I get it, but he wouldn't sugar coat stuff and could be objective about all the Dallas teams back in the day.

Still, Salvatore is a wildcard. As bad as he's ed the Spurs over in the past, he has done way worse to Dallas.

And the only reason why the Spurs shot 48 FTs in that game is because Dallas went to the "hack a Bowen" strategy.
Bennett Salvatore is awful. He's worse than Joey Crawford.
Salvatore is awful because he calls a lot of touch fouls. It will be hard for the spurs to play defense due to all the touch fouls he will call.
Hopefully he calls touch fouls on Dirk or someone and he has to sit for a time. I don't want TIM sitting as much as he did in game 6, that sucked.

Actually to be brutally honest Mavs losing in '06 is way worse than 6. The Spurs lost 6 legitimately. The Mavs were straight up robbed of a ring.

The Mavs blew a 2-0 lead.... they lost by 24 points in a game where Wade only had 9 free throws.... they had no one to blame but themselves that season, tbh....
this thread. It's creating excuses for a hypothetical loss. I'm assuming the Spurs are going to win, but if they lose, I don't intend to blame the refs.
The fact that the Mavs were up 2-0 has nothing to do with the fact that they were robbed of a game (game 5 where the heat had a 49 to 25 FTA, although to be very explicit the final FTA total alone does not necessarily indicate foul play either way, but I'm not using the final total as evidence for foul play anyways.)
Just call a spade a spade. This uncle tom bull that spursfans pull is hilarious. If there's bad reffing in favor of the spurs' opponent, point it out. If there's bad reffing in favor of the spurs, point it out. Don't look at FTA totals. Just watch the game and make a running tally of "missed calls" (which, admittedly, is necessarily subjective) in favor of team X versus team Y.
