horrible match-up for the spurs IMO..I don't know if people even notice, but the Portland starting 5 play 40 like it's 20..They have crazy stamina, endurance etc..

-Robin Lopez is one of the best big man defenders in the league..Not only will he take duncan out of the game, he's also great at defending and covering Lillard in the pick and roll.

-Parker has always struggled against Batum.

-Wes Mathews is not Calderon or Ellis, the dude can defend..Something tells me Ginobili will play like he's 37 in 5 of the six games they're going to play

-The team can exploit Lillard on the post, but we all know Pop loves to stay within the system and hates calling post up plays for third year players.

    - I think Tiago and Boris are going to defend Aldridge well enough to stop him from scoring over 40's, that said, it won't be offense.

    Blazers in 6.

If Blazers are going to win, they will have to do it in 5 or 6 games. Spurs just need to survive the blows and try to extend the series to 7.

    toss up series IMO

Key to this series is defense. Can the Spurs defend the Blazers as well as they will defend them? Lillards defense is still very suspect and this series like the Dallas series may take the Spurs 7 games to finally figure out the Blazers and get in their head. Blazers should be favored IMO, but they may not be ready yet to knock out the champs.

I think Dallas is better than Portland. Dirk is a smarter, tougher, but slightly less athletic Aldridge, so I think Splitter will do fine on him. Duncan vs Lopez, that's nothing. Duncan is too smart and intelligent, he'll make Lopez nothing. Parker on Matthews is fine since Matthews isn't an offensive player anyways. Leonard on Batum, Leonard will shut him down especially since most of his movement comes off ball. Then that leaves Green on Lillard, and I think that's perfect for Green. If Green can shut down Ellis then he can guard Lillard well. Plus, as it's been said before, Blazers have no bench, so if the Spurs attack, use the PnR effectively, and get the Blazers in foul trouble, then Spurs can do it.

Green didn't even average 25 minutes in a series he should have average 30

No need to mention something pop won't bother doing

Matthews is dangerous. He's had a career year for the Blazers. Green will have his hands full guarding between Matthews and Lillard.

Spurs cant let these guys rough them up. They have got to show that they are not a team you can just push around. Dallas played tough and rough and it got them to 7 games. Spurs are hard to get pissed off and will let you push them around for awhile. They believe in maintaining composure under all cir stances and play at am even keel. I just think we shouldnt play that way against these guys. The Mavs surprised the out of everybody by playing a very physical style of play and showed no fear, but as we saw today if the Spurs are focused and play angry they are tough to beat.

I agree with blazers in 6 or spurs in 7. Gun to my head, blazers in 6. I think the spurs are exasperated after this series tbh.

The Spurs being exasperated is probably a good thing. I think you meant to say "exhausted".

Lopez is smaller an weaker than Dalembert. He's like a slightly taller Blair with less balls and worse hands.

Obviously Lillard, Aldridge, and Batum are gonna kill us. . .and I am worried about Wes Mathiews on Manu but Marion wasn't exactly a on D either and imo he's a better shooter.

But let's talk about what the Blazers have to deal with. Is Lillard going to defend Parker well all series? How often will they leave Green to help defend then get burned by the three ball? Can they deal with this new Splitter who's finally realized he's a big dude with a pair of balls? Duncan may be old but he's still going to make his presence known. Diaw is a matchup problem for a lot of teams. We have depth, they don't. Will Mills pull a "Blair" and play his heart out against the team that didn't want him?

Scary series though, I feel like it could either way.

If the Spurs can play like they did today, they can take this series.

It depends on what spurs team we are gonna see, game 7 spurs team win this serie.

all will depend on Parker if he play like today Spurs have a good chance but a struggling TP would be the kiss of death
