yep. he's argumentative as but my brother is basically spurraider on steroids, so I'm immune to it. I just admire that he takes on several cliques. I wasn't into cliques even in junior high, so I'd rather see a one on one matchup instead of Eric Bogosian vs Elite s etc....

The Mavs team that showed up this postseason is on par with the Grizzlies and Warriors, in my opinion.

I'm not going to complain about a Spurs blowout victory in Game 7 just because they "should have" beaten the Mavs in 5.

The Mavs played great for six games, which is more than I can say for most of the eight teams already eliminated.

Portland is not going to be underestimated like the Mavs were.Just
like Dallas, they are playing with house money but you can feel they know they deserve a spot at the final table.

All the Mavs had going for them was making prayer shots and Rick outcoaching pop for the majority of the series. Face it, 21, the Spurs put on a pathetic display for a team which is supposed to be the #1 threat to the Heat.

It wasn't a great display until the end, but I knew this series wouldn't be a cakewalk. Dallas has some talent and a great coach who knows what to do with it. Plus they are a division rival playing with house money. I'm just grateful the Spurs didn't go out like quitters, quite the opposite.

As for the Heat, that's a tall challenge to any West team. any time you have all stars joining forces in the tiest conference imaginable, it's going to be a tall order, especially when the West is beating each other up.

You're understating how poorly the Spurs performed, FI, there isn't a good excuse for it. Dallas had Dirk playing mediocre and were it not for them choking game 1, we'd be whistling a different tune. The Spurs exhausted energy and now face a younger, hungrier team which will likely be another drawn-out series. It's a much different story than the previous year, Dallas pushed the Spurs further than a much better Warrior team the year previous.

Should have been over in favor of SA in 5, max. Mavs played well and exposed Spurs weaknesses while tiring out the Spurs . Dirk had a decent series but it was guys like Blair, Vince, Monta and Harris who did damage.

you're underestimating Dallas. the West is the best it's been in a long time, an absolute dogfight. Spurs underestimated the Mavs as well, I would've preferred a sweep but I'm just grateful for the Spurs' resolve. The Spurs-Portland series could be drawn out. That goes for Portland as well, which relies too much on their starters. It's a war of attrition in the West and we'll see how Spurs handle it, but I'm grateful the team is still playing with purpose.

It's to point out that a team with Curry, Klay, and Iggy and favorable officiating bailing them out is scarier than a team with Mnta Ellis and the fossilized corpses of Dirk, Marion and Vince?

I simply cannot see any team having the issue Spurs had with Dallas without Dirk playing all-star levels. The Spurs did what they were expected to do, what they were fully capable of doing with ease - yet the fact that it was a dogfight is a testimate to the Spurs not being the team we see during the season. Energy is a commodity which the Spurs cannot exhaust as well, another drawn out series will be detrimental.

Understand, FI, the Spurs didn't step up to beat Dallas, they stopped ting the bed.
