Hibbert would be a legit player in the Spurs' system, though, imho, tbh.

Jack Haley was a better NBA player than Ayres has been...that's really bad.

    Hibbert. Better to be a has-been than a never-was.

Hibbert's better but I'll take Ayres. You can live with Jeff making his measley 2 million even if he doesn't play a minute. But, can Indiana realistically afford to pay an underachieving Hibbert 30 million over the next two seasons? I think not.

I would take Ayres just for the price. People complain about how much Splitter is paid but compare Splitters production to Hibberts over the last month. I mean how does a guy like Hibbert have 0pt 0 rebound games. Even Ayres can manage to hold on to the ball once or twice a game to throw it down plus just be standing in the right spot to get an uncontested rebound. What's Hibbert's deal?

0 point and rebounds in 18 minutes? I doubt anyone can be that bad as Hibbert was last night.... I find it impossible infact. He has checked out.

0 points, 0 rebounds, 2 turnovers, 5 fouls in 17 minutes. That's one of a stats line, even for a scrub.

How does price matter into "who's better?"

Hibbert and it's not even close. Clearly, Hibbert must be battling some emotional issues to make his recent games be so terrible. It's possible that he's in some bad place mentally which is ruining his game, but his prior years show that he's got skills. He'll sort them out eventually, be it on another team or through another system, or maybe he'll get over any sort of mental or physical issues if he's having them.

Let's trade Ayres for Hibbert in the offseason. Pacers would be getting a steal.

Troof. Dr. Phil could fix what ails Hibbert, but there's nothing any doctor could do for Ayres tbqh.

There is probably more to the story with Hibbert that will come out after playoffs. It feels like hes purposely tanking, how do you not secure a single rebound in a game being 7 foot.
