I totally agree.
This was definitely a Pop strategy that paid off and especially in the face of Blazer fans, Pop haters, and Baynes haters.
It was great to see that Pop knows his stuff still.
Pop dictating with size against a guy who has trouble with size. It's a brilliant strategy, and very un-pop-like. Gotta give him a ton of credit for it.

Howevuh, iIf he'd done that in previous years, there would be at least one more banner hanging above the court, and they'd have damn sure beat Memphis in the first round.
It's always easier to say things like that now, it's called "hindsight", but name me a coach who would have done it back then if they could have.

Spurs fans are happy with coach Pop - he is a great regular season head coach, Spurs fans are happy just being second place.
This is the best coach to get you a respectable record and be a perennial runner-up.
Why would I want another coach when Spurs fans are perfectly content with 2nd place?
We all get what we pay for.
As much as any spurs fan - I want the Spurs to win les - except I am not a deluded Spurs fan who still believes Pop will win another le.
Won't happen as long as Pop is coaching - but - since the majority of spurs fans are content -
then just keep Pop and continue to always be an also-ran.
SBM just wants to be able to whine and repeat meaningless cliche and justify his agenda, so he wants the Spurs to lose.
He will never dare to mention another coach because he simply doesn't know much about basketball.
