i'm one of the few cowboy fans who actually like the pick. everybody around me yesterday wanted manziel or one of the top safeties. now they need to use the rest of these picks addressing the defense and maaaaybe getting a receiver in the 5th or 6th round.
I like the pick too. They can focus more on defense in the middle rounds. I'm not sure they're even considering taking a safety in the first round. They have a lot of young guys there already, and they probably want to see what they have this season. If they don't work out, then next season they'll consider it.
I think they need to try and move up in 2nd before all the good dl are gone.

Timmy Jernigan and Kony Ealy both on the board still, both were scouted as 1st round talent. Timmy may even fall to 3rd round because of the failed drug test..
I like the pick too. The OL is much younger, and should be solid for years now. The Cowboys would have won so many more games last year if they didn't have to throw 40-55 times a game.

Not sure Jerry needed to get rid of a third to move up..lot's of value in the third..desperate move IMO. I think we could have stayed pat and still got our guy.
Don't know much about Demarcus Lawrence, but the scouts have a 1st round grade on him, and he has swag based on his interviews. He was suspended 3 times, so hopefully he isn't another hot head like Dez. We'll see.

I hope so. I like this years draftee's and even some of the udfa's. there is a lot of young talent there and i hope our staff can mold them. i'm still wishing for a sub .500 season so we can draft either mariotta or winston. checc out this vid of the undrafted qb they signed
to all the young prospects. Btw this thread. It has run it's course. A cowboy fan should start one for the 2014-15 season.
