exactly.
when someone looks for role models in environments such as pro sports or entertainment, you know they are losers in life tbqh![]()
exactly.
Morons here thinking LBJ and KD are role models for grown men...
A lot of poor kids in the hood are going to make them their Role models..It's something that can't be avoided..The fact that kids can see these players, sacrifice and be good human beings is defiently something to be happy about..I'd rather see these kids grow up the right way than become addicts and rapist etc..
yet your top 5 favorite players had 4 spur players in it
I grew up watching Manu, TP and Timmy and kawhi's work ethic quickly made him my favorite player..That's 4 players...Is that hard to imagine?
HISTORY? D ROB, period end of story. Humble, great dude and never got mixed up in the crap alot of guys get mixed up in. I like KD and LBJ but D ROB is up there if not on top of that list.
D rob rubbed Christianity in a lot of players tbh..That's like saying you'e a sinner right now.![]()
Sure, you're also free to appreciate some no-name Romanian tbh.
He did do that at times I am guessing! D ROB though is that ing man! He was a good dude and a great role model.
This dude is transcending the bounds of gotry
Most of the people in this thread can't relate to the inner city struggle, tbh..
It's also not just about being role models off the floor, but also role models on the floor, as well..Lebron and Durant are team-oriented players, it's something the NBA has needed from it's superstar players since the 80s(guys like Duncan, Garnett and Dirk fit the unselfish criteria, obviously, but none of them were popular enough to be considered)..
The 90s gave us the Dad Killer version of s om, a ball-hog that put himself above the team..it led to selfish ball from future players like Kobe, Iverson, Carmelo, etc..
Why do they have to be role models? Why do they have to be leaders and set good examples for the black community? Is it racist to expect a black person to be a leader for black people?
rotfl like they need one
