When you think about it. why retire when your getting low min... good money and still schooling others in this league. If pop can continue to control his mins this is totally feasible!
A very good friend of mine who works at the airport has informed me his sighting of Tim Duncan before leaving to Portland yesterday, He asked Timmy while he was passing by how he felt and if this is the last year we would see him playing... Timmy then replied "I have 2 more good years left "
My friend wouldn't bs me.. I hope this is good news for you guys![]()

Tim is known for confiding in random airport employees, tbh, so this must be accurate..
Leaving to Portland yesterday? dafuq, did Tim play in Rip City Saturday night, flew back to San Antonio, then went back to Portland the next day?
Good question, I asked him that and he said Timmy was alone and didn't see any other spur
I just talked to Tim (via whatsapp) and he confirms story.
Tim just commented on my Facebook profile pic and confirmed that not only does he have 2 more good years left, but he also just saved a bunch of money on his car insurance by switching to Geico.
With Spurs recent success with him playing limited minutes in the regular season, I could see Duncan pulling a Kareem and playing til 40. He more than likely opts in this summer and Spurs sign him to a similar contract the following year. If that is the case, I wonder if Manu comes back after next year as well.
But, I am just taking things one step at a time and hope for a Spurs sweep tonight. The first team in the NBA to endorse gay players, having rip city on their jersey and having a new one torn by the Spurs right now. I don't see why this isn't the main headline over Sam getting drafted with the 2nd to last pick in the NFL.
Just texted Tim. Story is true.
Why would Tim be at the airport?
Why would Tim be leaving on a plane to Portland yesterday?
I just got a myspace message from Tim and he says the rumor is true, it's damn true!
I've been thinking about this topic a bit recently, and I think the bottom line is that no one really knows how much longer Tim will play (perhaps not even Tim himself).
With Manu, I'm 90% sure he'll retire at the end of his contract (after next season). He wears himself out quite a bit while playing, and his game is still slowly but surely declining.
With Tim, while he's not at his MVP peak, he's still playing at a very high level, and his style of play plus Pop's managing of minutes allows him to stay relatively refreshed. Not to mention that his weight loss has allowed even less wear and tear on his body. The bottom line with Tim is going to be, "At what level of contribution is he comfortable remaining in the NBA?" If he wants to be a top 2-3 player on a championship contender, he probably has another 1-3 years left. If he doesn't mind dropping to where David Robinson was in his final year (8.5 ppg, 7.9 rpg, plus solid defense in 26 mpg)? He could probably play another 5-10 years if he wanted to.
I think he can play til he is 40, no doubt
Based on tims help/weak side d, idk... doesn't look good.
I just sent Tim a pigeon from India and he replied back via the same bird to confirm the story. He thanked me for getting him on "Twitter" finally.
2 more years while breaking a few more records along the way sounds about right.
Did he say anything about Amy?
Its true, confirmed via The Well
I was walking on the beach and happened to come across a message in a bottle. Turns out it was a letter written from Tim. He said he is over Amy, and also mentioned something along the lines of "Vanessa's pussy is much tighter".
