Finish the sweep. Destroy the upstarts.

I want a win but as the clippers Thunder series is going at least 6 I'm a little worried about the long layover disrupting this amazing offensive flow we've got going right now.
Not a fan of those either, may take a nap after leaving the office just to get a couple extra hours of sleep in..
I've worried a little bit about this as well, but in the long run, I've heard Spurs players say during the post game interviews, that any extra rest would be beneficial. I can def see a little bit of a lull in the guys after all the rest, but I don't think it'll cost them a game.
Same here. I just got out, might get an hour or two in before pregaming.
They could use the rest the Mavericks deprived them of in the first round.
It's hit or miss with the long lay offs. We've had success coming off of sweeps in recent years, however. In 2012 we won the first game of our series coming off of sweeps all three times and went 2-0 last year (game 1 of gsw series and I think we won game one of the finals)

The layoff will be bad for about a quarter or even a half. I still take that over fatigue. The only way this team gets back to last year's form is if we see Game 3 Tony Parker for the rest of the playoffs. How does that happen? Rest...although I'm not sure if Tony is getting rest with fatherhood...
Exactly. Whatever comes with rest is still better than the Spurs wearing down... and we wear down quicker than anyone else so lets end it.
Plus, historically the Spurs have rebounded pretty well after long layoffs in the playoffs.
sweep please. we got our tune up in the long 1st rd. now we need wcf rest
It has to be a close game, right?
I mean I picked the Spurs in 6 before the series but I wouldn't have been surprised if it was Spurs in 5. But even my most homerific self could have predicted a possible sweep, let alone complete domination through 3 games.
Sure it was the regular season, but the Blazers still posed matchup concerns and players that theoretically could have given the Spurs problems....
For the series to play it out as it has so far, is just really surprising tbh. If the Spurs end up dominating Game 4, this would go down as the most surprising series since probably the 2010 Suns sweep IMO.....
After Game 2, all the Blazers talked about was going back to the comforts of home: their home arena and home crowd and home intensity. They apparently forgot that the Spurs won 30 road games this season. San Antonio rolled into Portland like gangbusters and quickly proved that there was no solace to be found there with another dynamite first half.
At this point, the Blazers are playing for posterity's sake. They will try to come out with a wild performance tonight...for their fans, if not for themselves. They will try to defy the odds and send this back to San Antonio and live to fight another day. But in the back of their minds, they are already planning their vacations.
The Spurs needs to tap into some more of that killer instinct and step on the throat. A win tonight earns a few valuable days of rest and the confidence that comes with a series sweep. A loss means more intense minutes, more risk of injury, and introduces a minuscule element of doubt into the equation that is unnecessary.
Take care of business tonight, and get ready for a 3rd straight trip to the Western Conference Finals.
5.
I went to the Spurs dancers' site to see who's better looking since the Melissa chick really doesn't do it for me....and it was pretty slim pickins' tbh
I mean i'd bang em all, but you'd thing the bar would be a little bit higher for a professional dance team tbh...
I settled on this girl:

solid pick...
they're not going to hire Shyla Stylez to do family entertainment, tbh...
Ironic since Melissa is Alexis Texas' flat butt doppelganger tbh.
Aw, man . . . Melissa, Amused OP . . . should I even bother watching this ing game?
I hope a black cat has not and will not cross your trail!
They've already tried it, he doesnt recover well on pick and rolls and Parker still got his.
The Blazers had shots fall in game 3. They played defense as well as they could. The Spurs didnt play well, too many turnovers, Ginobili shot badly, Belinelli didnt get alot of second half shots. That said, the Spurs toyed with them againa nd the game in all realities was never close after the first quarter.
The Blazers have lead for 33 seconds in 3 games. If the Spurs lead all of tonight, and win going away, this will be a series that will be looked at posthumously as one of just utter domination.
I hope the Spurs come out tonight smelling blood. So far this series, there seems that feeling.
Agreed. I think 2005 Western Finals against Phoenix ranks higher. When that started I saw 7 games. For them to win in 5, should've been a sweep due to having a lead late in the game. Just incredible.
The comeback begins tonight, let's go Blazers!
