He had a so-so game... only 1 turnover, only took 6 shots, not top 3 worst plus/minus on the team... not even his worst game this series...

    Have at it...

Coulda used his threes...untimely (and unsightly) misses tbqh. He also wasn't facilitating the second unit with his usual confidence or aggressiveness. It got so bad early in the game that he got subbed out for Beli. Piss poor effort and series tbqh...hope he wakes up for game 5.

Manu wasn't that bad. The entire team just came out flat. The refs also really got the Spurs out of their game early.

Every time Nono post about Manu, as I'm reading I'm hearing Bryan Adams "everything I do" song as background music.

Yeah, I would fight for you, I'd lie for you,
Walk the wire for you, yeah, I'd die for youuuuuuu

ed up a run with an airball 3 but it's not like our guys we're clicking from all cylinders. I expect him to have a 20/5/6 stat next game

He easily had his worst game of the series. It wasn't really close tbh..It wasn't so much about what he did (although he was awful on what he did), but more about what he didn't do. It was a loser game from him tbh when it was primed for him to dominate.

I have said this all year. They didn't bring in Beli to help with where Manu failed against MIA. He has to overcome this and be that player or the Spurs will struggle to win it all. When TP is beasting and the other team puts their best player on him and shows him a ton of attention, it caused mis matches. Manu has to take advantage. He also has to not turn it over. He didn't do that tonight despite a great match up.

I'll be the first in line to say the Spurs could use more from him this series, where he has not played well despite the wins..

Back in the Dallas series, where he was superb, I said it was not sustainable... so I don't expect that to be the new normal... but there's gotta be something in-between...

I think the Spurs could use some rest overall, and I'm hoping they close this Wednesday and get some well deserved rest...

Manu was bad, but pretty much everyone on the Spurs was bad tonight other than Beli and Diaw.

Pretty ugly game, all around. Manu haters should really have their own litter box. Keep all the turds in one place, tbh.

*shrugs* Team just didn't play that great overall. We bricked almost all our threes and tbh, the Blazers got their lead on going 4/4 in a row on drifter threes. Statistically, that kind of awful shot selection gets you maybe 1/4. They got 4/4 and an extra 9 points on terrible shot selection to have a 12 point lead with tons of momentum and the crowd into it instead of what would've been a smaller 3 point lead with no momentum and an anxious crowd and Blazers team.

No big deal. I predicted Spurs in 5 anyway. It's over in SA. Blazers were bound to take one at their house. They beat the Rockets. . .they aren't as ty as we made them look in games 1-3.

I also think starting Manu in place of struggling Green wouldn't be wise for the next game... I think Danny plays better at home and feeds off the crowd... I expect Danny to play better Wednesday...

Starting Manu has absolutely zero impact when he's playing like this. Manu was seeing plenty of time with TP and that's the point. He struggled to take pressure off of TP. I agree, keep Green going. He's a better defender than Manu and is a better 3 point shooter.

Batum tbh..He attacked Manu like players used to attack Bonner. Remember when MEM was killing SA in that playoff and in the huddle Zbo basically said "whomever is being guarded by Bonner, give him the ball". I bet Batum was saying the same thing because they wasted no time in getting him the ball when Manu was on him and it resulted in a lot of Batum's points.
