Cory Joseph. I know it doesn't matter, but what a soft player. Even down 11, with no pressure and very little time left, he won't take a 3. He dribbles too long and settles for a long 2 instead after looking over his shoulder 4 times.![]()
portland didn't play good tonight. spurs just played like stupid lazy assholes.

That list minute was just the right momentum the Spurs needed going into game 5. You can tell the Blazers fans are still uneasy.
I hate to be annoying here but even if the clips-thunder series goes seven games and we finish our series Wednesday, that's still just a two game advantage. A three game rest advantage is a lot better. Oh well, we blew that and face a must-win closeout game on Wednesday.
Let's all kill ourselves, guys! We have to win in 5 games instead of 4!
If there was ever a meaningless playoff game, this was it.
I was thinking the same.
Calling CIA Pop on this one. Saw a probable loss when the shots weren't falling, butchered the lineups, yanked players at weird times. Sent a message to remind them of what's coming. Spurs take Game 5 by 20.
Well, when Will Barton makes consecutive circus shots, and Batum makes consecutive defended 3's... it means it's your night
ing refs bailing theses es out! No calls on the hack & grabs! No calls on the loose ball fouls!
Because they can?
Robert Horry does nothing the whole season, how can he be one of the clutchest players in the history of the NBA?
dey be aight, dey be aight. niggz will have to fly back to portland after gettin dey pushed in in SA. dey be aight
It's more because Brooks has the players to stop the Spurs. It's yet to be seen but the Thunder don't have a lot of things the Spurs can exploit. Teams like the Grizzlies and Clippers can exploit OKC better. It's all about matchups. I just think it's unfair that you say the Spurs have flaws, which they do, but so do the other teams including the Heat. No team is perfect.
Ok so Jeff Ayres could go on a three point rampage and be like Alcindor at the rim.
We knew 4 straight would be tough lets finish these ers in 5
In the end, the Spurs weren't going to get a lot of rest. Any amount is ideal, obviously, and three would have been better than two. But not by a lot, and not against OKC. The Spurs needed this loss more than they needed the extra day. OKC doesn't tire out and the last time the Spurs roared through the semis they got backdoor swept by the Thunder in six games. People talk about how fighting to beat Dallas was a great wakeup call for SA in the first round. Cruising to four straight wins against Portland may not have been ideal, and I think Pop saw the loss coming and played it into Portland's hands. His lineup calls were questionable beyond recognition, and after solving Portland for three games we all know he isn't making mistakes here. He's choosing a wakeup call over an extra day of rest. Poor shooting certainly helped, this isn't all on Pop obviously. But it's going to pay dividends in Game 5 and beyond.
We needed to win one game out of the two here and we did just that. We werent winning this game from the getgo. Nobody is sweeping anybody. We will get this on Wednesday.
The Thunder's biggest weakness is themselves, tbh. If Pop can figure out a defensive scheme to allow them to beat themselves consistently, they'll have a shot at another Finals trip.
We can do this all night, putting words in each other's mouth, doesn't change the fact that Pop pulled the plug too early.
Game five it is. I'll be making the 3-hour drive to attend the game. it.
I didn't watch the whole game, but it seems like guys were really disinterested in that game. That's one thing I absolutely hate about this team. I have no problem if shots aren't falling because it happens to the best shooters, but to come out looking like they could care less about the game is frustrating
Pop sees the entire chess board, not just the next move. He's thinking ahead and mitigating risk.
Hope you're right, man. But it's not like our dominant sweep of the grizzlies in the WCF last year hurt us any heading into the Finals. Those extra days of rest were well worth it.
1. several airballs
2. Tim stepping back, not raising a hand and letting Lillard dunk.
3. Tony not attacking the paint, Manu just settling for long 3's.
All these told me that the Spurs were mailing it in. If Pop pretends that Portland just brought energy, you know it's a tank job.
That was the butt ugliest game I have EVER seen. They ALL sucked!!! WTF was that????
I work till 9:30 pm on Wednesday, too here in California so I'll miss most of the game. I'm still gonna keep track of the game and post here but too bad it had to come to this now. Who jinxed us more, Barkley for changing his tune and calling a sweep or Amused?
