1. Leonard last year played 37mpg in the playoff, this year he's averaging 29. It's not rest since Tony and Timmy are playing well over 34...It's not because they've blown out teams since he's averaged 30 in close games.
2. In the Regular season he averaged 28..A few minutes less than last year as well.
give me a decent explanation and I'll stop posting about his minutes..Give me one good reason why he should continue doing this

Leonard comes out and the Blazers go on a mad run, we lost when he was subbed out. And us not being able to execute on simple plays while he was in the game with Tony and Tim didn't help the situation. I do agree with this guy that our defense suffers terribly when he's out. Pop should have just kept him in there to play the rest of the 3rd and 4th quarter.
Pop would rather play soft unathletic white europeans, tbh...
Oh you mean Mr. Score 5 give 6?
Pop's probably not a huge fan of americans anyway
I'm with you on getting KL more minutes and more touches, but you make this thread after each game.
Manu was tonight btw
Leonard is vital and one of Pop's most trusted players. He knows what he's ing doing. Kiwi will be crucial in containing Durant and for that he doesn't need to be beat up this series.
Not a fan of Bellineli's huge increase in minutes. Pop benches him in the first round, then gives him 20+ minutes in the second. Mind-boggling! He has been playing well though.....on offense.
score 10 give 10...no reason to play him more than 10mpg
So bad...maybe I've apalisoc_9 syndrome, too
I want to believe when Pop said "It's all about defense" ...so when Green's 3's aren't falling I still trust in Danny's contribution on D. But not Pop.
He sat his two best perimeter defenders in an elimination game, -8 goes to -15, Batum scores two 3's consecutive on Manu and still doesn't put one of these two guys...
I expect we can see game7 Mavs series rotation in game 5 with Green/Leonard playing more than 27 minutes and not this f....... regular rotation.
Kawhi will get his miuntes if needed..Pop is just a stubborn and would rather see Marco go hot than give the kid more burn..
Danny is the guy i'd be worried for..He's playing less than 23 the whole playoffs...
If you'll remember last year Leonard missed time due to his problems with jumper's knee. He's dealt with it since college and will always deal with it, it's not something that just goes away. Pop understands this and is one of the few coaches around who considers a players career and won't just run them into the ground.
Now STFU!
They knew about that ever since his college year yet played him 37 last season in the playoff...
Wow Pop is so good..
Wow he cares for all his players![]()
I was really concerned about Danny's minutes in the first two games vs Dallas, and now again in this series.
Pop want to rest these young guys in an elimination game on the road...? It sounds crazy.
Nah it's called having a european named Marco Bellineli..
I could be wrong in my assumption, but Pop probably thinks of Belli as Green's equal ( Hopefully not)
His time will come... you're just impatient...
Kawhi is a horrible free throw shooter.
Leonard was injured this year obviously, so that played a little into it.
I think Pop knows how vital Leonard will be against the OKC or the Heat, if the Spurs will meet them in the WCF and Finals. Spurs IMO won't win those series without. I guarantee you that Kawhi will be playing 37+ minutes a game in those series. Pop is just saving him for these potential series.
Just like him shutting down Parker, Pop over the past 3 years has really been cautious with players since Manu fracture his arm in the F'in last game of the year against the Suns. He plays them heavy minutes when needed.
